@@balesjo That rotter TGV isn’t answering my calls darling. Ever since the Daniel Wellington debacle he’s been frightfully reticent in communicating with moi.
Hey Teddy, I think it would be a good idea if you could show the watches you review with different straps combinations from your store, for example this white dial could have been paired with so many different options and with the video quality you present everytime, this video could have been a 10/10
Not normally a fan of chronographs for myself (after once owning one) but this is a beauty and the first in a long time that could make me reconsider. The only down side is the lack of a sapphire crystal. This is one point where I seriously consider durability, as I've been known to be rough of crystals in the past.
Thank you Teddy for making this review, I feel it’s a underrated chronograph watch. I’ve made this watch as my grail watch because of it is simple design, the Tissot logo writing, and the size of the watch coming in at 39mm. I’m always watching for a price drop at Jomashop, right now there is a Christmas sale @ $899 and without the metal bracelet at $879 with a leather strap!
As always, Tissot does the job very well. Swiss, affordable, high quality and perfect size. Great watch from a great Brand. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas! Greetings from Brazil!
Finally found what I like for my use. I WFH daily so I don't need a dress watch, but I would also like to have the option to use this as a dress watch, I have small wrists too. This is perfect. Not too cheap, not too expensive. Thanks Teddy.
Thanks for this review, Teddy. Now this is exactly what I have always wanted in a wristwatch, the old school look, the sweeping hand movement (even of the smaller dials when not in stop watch mode), a decent sized but not heavy-weighted watch however it would have been good for it to be have a decently luminous dial and even the date window to be luminous and it should have a sapphire crystal face. That would have made it THE PERFECT WATCH EVER
Look at the Tissot Heritage 150th Anniversary chronograph, it's nearly identical to this but looks better because it has a "12" rather than a Roman XII
Perfect apart from the strap....although that would be a nice change for me for the time being. I'm so attracted to the more "dress" chronographs. Same case back as the Le Locle which is very nice.
This is a gorgeous piece that I really want. It's funny that you called it a "Dress Chronograph," because that is exactly how I see it! I feel like this thing could be a bit of a strap monster too... the Milanese looks great ... I bet a navy leather strap would like great as would a nice brown one. Heck, you could probably even go Kevin O'Leary style and put a red band on it!
That watch dial will look even nicer as it ages . Like to see it in 50 years . Great size , not too big . Like to see it on a strap . Very nice lugs too .
I got this watch two days ago...everything is perfect..except the accuracy...for now it lost 4mins/day...about 8mins until now...I consider it is the Run-in period of the new movement...so i will keep observing...ETA2894-2 is not so bad i think...Nice video Teddy!
This is one of the more higher priced watches from Tissot. In Canada this watch sells for $2500 CAD. The case is very thick. But in person it is a sharp looking watch. The style is much different from other Tissot watches.
Very nice watch. I had a non-chrono version, but found some shortcomings. The lugs are rather short, so you need curved leather straps, otherwise the straps jam into the sharp underside of the case. I found the case back, while quite attractive, slightly abrasive (to me at least). On a hot day, I'd find a perfect imprint of the case back on the top of my wrist. The quality is excellent on these, though. The dial finish on mine was quite attractive.
I've always liked this one. My only issue is the gigantic Tissot logo. I get it, it's a really, really nice entry level mechanical chrono and they're proud, but come on bros. Dial it back a bit.
Please let me know exactly what kind of glass on this watch ? Acrylic or mineral crystal. And in your experience, will the colour be yellowing (not pure clear) after few years. Thanks.
What’s the actual difference between the 2894-2 in this and the movement in the Tudor Heritage Chrono? Looks to be the same (besides whatever mods Tudor makes to the base caliber). If it’s good enough for Rolex’s baby bro, it’s good enough for me.
I love the look and own two tissot auto chronos but this is a modular Dubois Depraz movement and that poses a problem. It's harder to repair and if the chrono is not used for long periods, it can break. Also the water resistance is too low. It's basically splash-resistant.
I agree full servicing could be more expensive although from what I've read factory Tissot servicing is quite reasonable compared to many. The Dubois Deprez module has been used in more premium watch brands over the years including Omega, Breitling and in the TAG Caliber 12 in the now discontinued Monaco (TAG are now using the in house caliber 02 in the new Monaco that is thicker). From my experience the only negative I have found is that there is slack in the movement when setting (If I recall correctly the DD module drives all the hands from a single gear from the base module) so I have the minute hand ~+15 seconds into the minute when starting the seconds from Zero. I've not heard of recent issues with the Dubois Depraz module specifically but that does not say that do not exist.
@@anthonystevens8683 I actually own this now. Nordstrom Rack had a good deal on it so I got one. I am a sucker for automatic chronographs and own a bunch. I actually have an Invicta Speedway LE that is a 57 Jewel auto chrono and it's fantastic. It's big and super thick and heavy but it's just something else. The accuracy is amazing. It's literally COSC accuracy. So I actually have a lot of faith in modular DD movements. This guy's in fact ETA's own semi modular 2894-2 movement. Some don't consider it to be a modular design because the chronograph is directly screwed on to the base movement and is not separate from it. I have noticed some problems with Seiko's auto chrono movements though. Swiss is usually better.
I love this design aesthetic, including the Roman numeral 12. Only one gripe. 30m WR? I’d like to think that Tissot could figure out a way to make it 50m, at least. Otherwise, a nearly perfect timepiece (for me).
At $1450, it's a hard pass. At $899 on the Christmas Sale from Jomashop, it's tempting. I want an auto chrono, and I like this one, but I don't love it. Overall nice watch, though.
I love this piece it’s got great traditional looks and an accurate movement but my one negative is the Tissot logo I know it’s trivial but in my opinion I think it could be smaller or slimmer maybe a bit more understated,I think it slightly takes away from the aesthetics of the watch in the bold black print .but hey that’s just me I would still love this in my collection. Cheers teddy keep safe and keep up the great reviews mate ...
2:43 Gives me concern - the watch is evidently damaged. Is this the same one Teddy is selling? As for the watch. Great piece that I was already aware of and am considering as an automatic chronograph.
Hi! The mark you are referring to is fingerprint smudge, not a scratch. Also, the pieces we feature on the review channel are samples for photography/reviews, and aren't the models customers will be receiving.
I just wish Tissot timepieces can be little heavier. Tissot Le Locle that I had was so light and the case back novelty wears out of style very fast. I wished they either choose to fully display or cover it completely. The half covered design collects dirt quickly and hard to keep it clean.
I hate that this watch does not have a sapphire crystal. This watch is stunning but the crystal issue is big. I’m a big fan of tissot so I don’t get this.
Only online watch people seem to scream about sapphire on everything. Hesalite is super popular for its looks, tons of fashion brands and well selling swiss brands use it for its characteristic dome and easy to polish surface.
I think it's a genuine shame that this channel has (like most) become merely a shop front for web trade. The constant posting now has diluted any sense of class, integrity, passion that made the channel interesting, fair play if it pays the bills but 14 posts a week on watches in our store has become redundant in the extreme

Great timepiece. Would look absolutely gorgeous with black subdials instead of white. Panda dials are gonna look superb on this timepiece
My kind of lugs, funky :)
Love the watch. Fantastic design, even with the date window.
Is it wrong for me to want to buy this and put it on a Nato or Elastic strap? Imagining it, it kinda looks cool instead of the mesh lol
Be great to see a review of the Tissot T Gold with Opaline dial Teddie! Another bargain piece from Tissot 👍🏻
I find the date window a bit disturbing, as the dial is not symmetric. And i dont need a date on a vintage inspired watch.

Great watch for the price. Looks like it would be a real strap monster too.
No date window + double button hour markers at the top instead of the roman XII would have made this a perfect watch. Still a stunner.
I thought about this watch, but went with the Hamilton Intra Matic Chrono instead. A watch you also reviewed :P
I plan on doing the exact same thing.... the Hamilton is more expensive but I'll just wait a bit longer to save up the difference of prices.
@@JudoAndrew I bought it second hand.
