My personal favorites are Angry Sun, King Zinger, Kamek, Tank Bros. and Van Frostacloud. They all have something interesting to bring to the table.
For the Angry Sun and Zinger, they are aerial adversaries that throw Projectiles at set intervals.
Kamek utilizes the Kicking Koopas to constantly change the layout of the arena, making his fight interesting throughout.
Tank Bros are a neat take on a SMB1 Bowser fight, as their cannonballs can destroy the blocks that you need to beat them.
Van is the best of the lot by far. With his slam attack and fun projectiles, he is a very varied First Boss.

Can you link the music tracks used by 4.5's Poison Toad, 6.0's Tim J. Koopa, 7.0's Bazuka, and 8.0's Giant Boom Boom? They're really good!
