I just delivered my documentary to filmhub. It's on Tubi TV and Amazon now through them. Filmhub has a very detailed export file requirement for the master file. That would be a good place to start.
Can anyone confirm that Amazon is currently NOT accepting documentaries for Prime Video Direct? I know this policy was announced a couple years ago, but the list of categories on their support page currently specifically lists only short films as not accepted.
I would still check around, but docs are not listed as part of their "unsupported content." It's possible they grouped docs with other non-fiction content when they initially made that decision. I personally don't know anyone, so I apologize I don't have a straight answer videodirect.amazon.com/home/help?topicId=G6N7RDE5NVFL57WH
Your other option would be to just try. It doesn't cost anything, so the worst that would happen is they don't accept it. You can go through uploading sooner than later and schedule a release date later. You don't have to publish as soon as it's accepted.

Hi, I opened an account not long ago, but what does Tax information mean? Complete payment setup: Tax withholding, if I do it, do I have to pay for it? or what happens then?
You can't get paid without doing this. You need to fill out some basic information either as an individual or a business. They send you information at the end of the year so you can file it with your taxes. If you are in America, this is essentially like filling out a W9. If you are not in American, I cannot help you as I'm not familiar for any other countries tax laws.
Hi so if Amazon include your video with Prime do I still get paid as originally when I uploaded my film. People had to pay to rent it whcih was doing well then 48 hours later They included it with Prime.
@@alexsrednoselacThanks but the filmmaker get 50% when it’s not included with prime if the customer is renting or buying. But do you know the percentage when it’s included?

Hey. We've uploaded the ten episodes of a short form web series comedy with some major talent involved. We've done everything but are stuck on the territories page - we've chosen US and UK as that's what's offered and fine. But we are NOT seeing any way to offer the show to Prime members for free - we have our pricing for non-Prime, but can you help with this. Another video from two years ago showed a box to check for Prime but we're not seeing that box.
Amazon unfortunately doesn't offer this anymore. Your only option is on the marketplace for purchasing and rentals. You'd likely have to use a distributor to get it on the Prime subscription. You could also try Filmhub. They took my movie off without telling me and I don't have that option either.
@@dennislavender3386 Yes it all went fine as soon as we knew Amazon no longer offers the "free" option. So, we chose the lowest price. Amazon accepted the show and it's been doing really well on Prime. Whew!

Hi alex,

Amazon prime video direct is not available in India. You need to use a distributor or a platform like FilmHub.
How did you have the tax info to provide for the UK?
Amazon just converted it. I didn't have to do anything with taxes in the UK.
