What a cool piece of history. Glad I got to see it from a distance while it still stood.

I was glad to have contributed to the 2022 Summit Bid, with a rendition of the Abbot Pass Hut in forged iron.

fascinating short documentary about the Abbott hut. I am so glad you used a real narrator and somehow the voice of that gentleman is encouraging in that I am led to believe there will be another refugee built at some point. Thank you very much for this!

Very nice tribute. I was fortunate to stay there there 3 times and it was an incredible place to spend the night.

Lot's of good memories at that hut. I feel so fortunate to have been able to enjoy it.

Definitely quite the amazing history. Even for those of us who only saw the hut from afar at the end of the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail, it was still a cherished memory to see it.

I stayed there once. And beyond a doubt it was a once in a lifetime experience.

I have seen the hut many times but never ventured up there, great video nicely done.

Been there many times. Had no idea it was unstable. Climbed up to it by way of the infamous "Death Trap" in the 60s. A new hut would be fitting tribute to the old.

Never did get there. Wished that it could have been relocated to a stable location.

And just this morning I read that the same thing is happening to many mountain huts in Switzerland and Italy. How many of them will have to be taken down?

Lol… anyone who thought the hut was on solid rock or that “change comes slowly” was an utter fool. Lol. How in the heck could anyone mountaineer in the Canadian Rockies and think that? 😂😂 these mountains are in constant change - they were before and they will be in the future…. And none of it is solid lol!
