Thanks for sharing, this gave me a few ideas. I found for the routing I did not need to use a routing tool because this frame has integrated "tubes" inside the frame. Only the rear triangle does not. I started from the back of the bike, and carefully pushed through the rear triangle. The grommet at the front of the rear triangle leaves a big opening so I looked in with a flashlight and directed the cable while pushing from the rear. When going through the main frame, you just stick the cable in, push, and it will come out at the head tube. Pretty easy. I did not know how the dropper would go but your video helped me there.
Yes you can! If you're transferring between relatively "modern" frames, it should be compatible for the most part, BUT be aware of some frame differences before your transfer. For example, check the seat tube length of the new frame if can you insert your dropper post to minimum insertion? is it gonna be too tall even when post inserted all the. way and seat dropped? Also, the forks have offset value, check what fork offset is compatible in your new frame.
Great video! Thumbs up! Any tips on headset maintenance? How did you wash it off before regreasing? Can you just spray degreaser all over to clean it? I don't think you can get to the bearings right?
I also have a v3 Bronson…..starting to get creaks and ticks from bottom bracket so wanting to replace it myself as well…….do you know what socket I meed? Number of Notches/diameter etc ? Also is the bb on the Bronson sram dubs bsa or Italian? Trying to figure out which one to order Any other brand you recommend for more heavy duty use? I’m a big guy so I’d rather upgrade to something more heavy duty lol…….new to bottom brackets so not too sure what I’m looking for in terms of something that would fit a v3 Bronson CC (what should I look for on a bottom bracket to verify it’ll fit? 73mm bsa? Any other term or number I should be looking for as far as compatibility goes?
Why’d you have to get a new bottom bracket? Couldn’t you have used the one on the old frame? Im about to do a frame swap too so any tidbit of advice would help.
Andrew Nalus mine was creaking already. I know some of my friends that has the same BB and they too had creaks start around 700 miles. I could maybe just reuse and tighten it but just thought getting a fresh one is best
So your fist frame was the matte grey and now you have the glosse red/brown frame. How do you like the new color/texture? Any thoughts or tips on either? Still deciding on what color to order
Yes! It's not super obvious at first but a few rides in i feel like I don't use that much travel than before. I was able to remove 5 psi and now its plusher up top and doesn't bottom out
Hey, did you make use of Santa Cruz’s crash replacement option? Did you have to send your old frame back to Santa Cruz or could you keep it for spare parts?

Awesome video. I'm basically doing the same procedure for my cracked Hightower. Santa Cruz is sending a new frame next week. Very helpful.
sick vid bro! easy to understand and great editing. This ones a saver! 👊
Thanks so much! Glad it helped! 🤙🏽
Great vid, man. Enjoy the (basically) new ride!
Thanks! Will do!
🙌 great video... I’ll use it to install my new GX Eagle 🦅 coming next week 😁
awesome, thanks man. i hope it helped!
What path does the cable housing for the dropper take? Does it go through the top tube into that seat post?
I think it goes thru the down tube and up
Hey is it possible to buy a new frame and transfer everything from the old one? I’m talking about different frame brands. Thanks!

@@TrailDad nice. Thank you!
nice video, cool bike!!

Thanks! Not sure about headsets but its pretty easy to wipe it down, i just sprayed it with alcohol and then re-grease. it's a sealed bearing.
Hi, Nice bike 🤘😉🤘 super 😉🤙
Hey, thanks!🤙🏽

Been waiting for this video.

TrailDad okay, makes sense. Waiting for my frame to come in so I can begin the swap...thanks for posting this vid!!!

Derek Ulloa the new frame looks nice, looks better in person, and the glossy frame is easier to clean
Do you think a bike shop would do this for me?
Great video.
Thanks 🤙🏽
Perfect 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice!
Thanks!
Was this crash replacement or warranty ?
Grant got it warrantied 🤘🏽
Did you notice a difference in the progressivity between the 2019 vs 2020?
Yes! It's not super obvious at first but a few rides in i feel like I don't use that much travel than before. I was able to remove 5 psi and now its plusher up top and doesn't bottom out
I build my bronson myself also.
That's nice man! How did it go
TrailDad all good. I always fixed my own bike and my friends bike so I don’t have any problem doing it.
Nice frame... what frame size you got bro....
thanks! the new frame is a Large
What happened to the old frame?
warrantied it
Why you switch to L frame...."and how tall are you
i wanted to try the longer reach fad lol. I'm 5'8. i swapped my 50mm stem and used a 35mm to help shorten it a bit
@@TrailDad So after riding medium and large, which one was best in your opinion?
no need to bleed brakes??
i didn't at first. it was a little spongy but still brakes really well. i think i bled the brakes after maybe 6 rides.
Hey, did you make use of Santa Cruz’s crash replacement option? Did you have to send your old frame back to Santa Cruz or could you keep it for spare parts?
I got my frame warrantied. I only had to saw off the BB from the old frame and show them a picture of it. I still have all the parts🤘🏽
What happened to the first frame?
A shock bolt got loose and frayed the carbon
What's with all these Chinese bikes breaking and cracking?!
