    Man FH5 hitting 40FPS at ultra is mad. Most amazing point for me is the fact that this is just a 4800U. Ignoring the 5800U, the 6800U, which should have RDNA2 and be way faster, in one of these handheld PC.... man, moist dreams. One cool point for the aya neo is the M.2 spec. It takes double sided 2280 m.2, which allows for up to 8TB of storage, making it a mad machine if it ever gets paired with an RDNA2 chip.

    Dude...this video showcase of the Aya Neo Pro was amazing! You have in-depth timestamps everywhere, the video description is thorough, and this was a clear & comprehensive breakdown of the product! Emulation testing, too?!
    Bring on the hottness, DroiX! 😀
    EDIT: You bring up some great points about the AYA Neo Pro in your video. For me, it would be my go-to system immediately (mainly for the AMD graphics chipset/drivers and smaller design), but...the consumers need a Switch-type of dock-to-tv setup, where a powered-up GPU could be in the dock to power through better graphics on an HDTV. That or a Thunderbolt 4/AMD XConnect adapter. But the dock upgrade would be ideal...🤔

    • @DroiX_Store
      @DroiX_Store  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you for the kind words, we appreciate it a lot and are always working to improve our videos. We will be making an additional video next week with gameplay footage as well as emulation testing. We will be either comparing it to the ONEXPLAYER 1S in the same or separate video, we have not decided yet. It takes up quite a bit of time installing games and setting up emulators so it would have delayed this review by a day or two if we included them in this video.
      The Aya Neo & Pro will have a dock for it although we do not know exactly when just yet. We wrote about it on our blog at droix.co.uk/blogs/aya-neo-2021-pro-handheld-gaming-pc-announced/ As far a I know its only the retro theme design.

    So I have the GPD Win Max and the Aya Neo Pro, and have hours of first hand experience with Intel Xe and AMD Ryzen APU's I have one thing I can say with 100% certainty I would take AMD over Intel any day because at least when I run a game it just works, even if it's a slightly lower frame rate it runs. I have had so many Xe driver issues cause they just don't work. As of right now I'd take an AMD based APU for those reasons. Just my 2 cents from actual ownership.

    • @DroiX_Store
      @DroiX_Store  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The drivers are definitely something to consider. The Intel ones are pretty bad! One release can stop a game working or vastly change the performance. The AMD drivers seem to be far more stable. This is something I will mention in my gameplay video(s).

    • @hydzior
      @hydzior 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm still thinking if i want to buy aya neo pro or something on intel. Intel apus are more powerfull overall but yeah i was hearing a lot about shitty drivers.

    • @JC7119
      @JC7119 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hydzior so I have a gpd win max with the 1065g7 and the aya neo pro. Obviously I can't compare the two on performance, but I can say that many games just don't work on intel even older ones. And yeah sometimes you can setup a work around but many times you can't. I remember destiny being broken for almost a year with zero support. So yeah I personally wouldn't deal with intel till the driver issue gets sorted.

      The GPD Win Max use to be the only game in town. Good compromise in controller, keyboard, size and screen.
      Then Win 3 came with it's 1165G7 and took orders.
      While waiting for Win 3 OneXPlayer came into existance. Too late to cancel Win 3, it's obsolete as soon as it ships.
      The OneXPlayer beats them all. Perhaps until Steam Deck ships. (Which is delayed again) But OneXPlayer is here now, is VERY eye catching, fast enough to be daily driver, can upgrade to 4TB SSD. lol. Touch screen. Steam machine, XBox Game Pass machine, play "adult" games.
      Only gripe is the keyboard. So just use Prestigio touch keyboard which is almost exactly the size of OneXPlayer!

    OXP 1S is still the top end handheld imo. simply because of the larger more comfortable to look at screen, but still very good competitor in the AYA Neo Pro.
    I hope that in the future Handheld Gaming PCs don't just stick to one size but offer different screen sizes as SKU options.

I thought it would of been more fair if you ran all devices at the same resolution.. eg run all of them at the same resolution of the lowest device that way u get to see how they all compare equally.. the higher the resolution the lower the fps will be.. so won't be a fair comparison.

    • @DroiX_Store
      @DroiX_Store  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@crispynicholls It depends on the game, for example Street Fighter V at 1280x720/800 will run at locked 60FPS so we cant see how far higher it could go. So for games like this we increase the resolution so it wont reach 60FPS but we can see where they get to. We do the exact same resolutions for each device we benchmark, so everything is kept equal in terms of the settings they use.

Thanks for this nice video

    • @discopanda28
      @discopanda28 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think the price will fall. These Chinese handhelds are made in relatively small batches. The cost of development and manufacturing is enormous and they can’t benefit from buying components in the scale the bigger boys like Valve can. Also Valve can afford to take a hit in the cost of the SD as they expect to make money from the Steam Store. There is no way they can lower the price and still break even. I doubt if AYN have turned a profit. I like AYA but I fear for their future. It’s only a matter of time before ASUS or similar get into the game. Alienware already showed the UFO but that prototype was 2 years ago and nothing happened. Yet.
      There is a new AYA device being revealed next week however so we shall see 🙂

      @@discopanda28 thanks you have a point here. I know valve makes lots of money from the Steam store just like Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft with their respective stores and that's why PCs are expensive as manufacturers only make money from selling hardware and not software. I don't expect AYA, OneXplayer, Tencent (soon maybe), Qualcomm to lower prices like the Steam Deck that'll be suicidal; but even a 200 USD decrease will help. Then again, Aya has a small team to build their hardware unlike Steam that'll be working with FOXCONNS-like companies. The AYA NEXT is just a week away (,might be expensive but might have better ergonomics) than future devices and that could help them. They need to work more on PR and COMM

    also in the quality of the materials oxp destroys ayaneo.

    oxp is the definitive machine at the moment. whoever says otherwise is lying.

I have both the aya neo pro 2021 and the onexplayer 1s, and in my opinion minus doom eternal not properly running on the recent Intel drivers and having to run Batman Arkham asylum in compatibility mode, the onexplayer still produces better framerates. I even bumped the tdp on the neo to 20w to match the onexplayer and I still got noticeable fps dips in the RE3 remake which compared to the onexplayer there was none, and I had both consoles running at 800p max settings.

    onexplayer sucks, went through three within a matter of a month, every one had button issues, sent back to amazon and just converted my samsung phone into a retro gaming system with razor controller.

      I couldn't believe the Onexplayer were being assembled so poorly. I'm glad I purchased the Aya Neo Pro. It's been amazing!
