Following the subspace shock colloquially known as "the Pulse" two years prior, Ageira researchers in Liberty made the incredible discovery of a subspace pocket outside of the Sirius sector. With the LSF's authorization, the super gate in the top secret Alaska system was reoriented and - to the shock of everyone - managed to create a stable connection to this newfound system, codename Earhart.
Immediately, Liberty organized an enormous expeditionary force to traverse the super gate, explore the new system, and lay claim to what marvels might be found inside.
However, Liberty was not alone in this discovery. In Kusari, Kishiro Technologies was about to demonstrate its new jump drive systems. That they, too, would find themselves in the mysterious subspace pocket and on course to a direct confrontation with Liberty came as a surprise to everyone.

Will people that just want to play online ever be allowed to join without the forced RP??? This mod seems the be the only one left alive online but I just wanna play the game... not be forced into RP conversations every 10 mins (happend to me last time I played years ago)

The update is so extensive that the dev team wasn't actually able to produce proper patch notes for it. The most important changes (gameplay reworks, economy rework, etc.) are documented in the "Patch When" dev blogs.

@@RedactedToaster Well, this is what I have seen on the forum, but... uh... Just keep in mind that they dumped the idea of disc wiki, and keeping its archive version. So I thought my skills in martial arts of Google-Do are not good enough.
