Man, wired2fish had the best April Fools joke ever! Lol. My friend is a state biologist and they talk about how technology is a diminishing return on fisheries all the time. It's pretty arrogant to mock the idea that technology could have a negative impact on fisheries. Can wired2fish publish the research that shows livescope technology "is generally not going to resultin over-harvesting on big public waters". In florida I have watched fisheries decline over the last 45 years and we should be very concerned about anything that has the possibility to threaten them.

I live in florida and this is my all time favorite bait. This bait is just magic around here.

I live in Miami and agree 200%, this bait is magic. When nothing else gets bites I switch to this exact rig in junebug color and the magic happens.

Nice tip Jeremy. Really, like that weight peg setup. Thanks for sharing. I saw Shaw Grigsby fish a similar setup. One thing he added was he pegged the head of the worm with a toothpick through the eye of the hook to help keep it from sliding down the hook and ball up. Should help boat a few more bass. He also said the wood toothpick could hold some fish scent if you spray your baits. Shaw is the man.

I like to also put a bead between the knot and the weight with a slight bit of space to create a clicking sound!

One could prolly get away with using that peg and weight system as some type of makeshift carololna rig system. Maybe a little dab of thin set super glue for a bit more security and less movement on the line. Hmmm.. Wonder if anyone's ever tried it...
Ill cut out the suspense if anyone else is also wondering if its been tried.. if have! Has been a set up thats caught me LOTS of fish, quick and easy to setup, pulls through rock and other structure with much less snags, and ive kept it relatively secret for a while now.

Now do another instructional video how to cast such a light lure on a bait caster. It's impossible for me.

Loosen your spool tension until it rolls freely but stops without backlashing when the bait hits the water when just dropping from a rods length on a free spool.
