I have been on the mission field for over twenty one years. I began studying the many versions of the Spanish Bible even before coming to the field. When the RVG became available I added it to my studies. It has always come out on top in terms of faithfulness to the purity of God's Word. For our ministry, we preach from and distribute only the Reina Valera Gómez revision by conviction that it is the best available to the Spanish speaking world. We want the best for the souls in our churches. We have now distributed over 153,000 RVG Bibles in S. America with many more requests coming in weekly. We can not keep up with the demand.

Several years ago I became aware of the Spanish Bible issue. At the time I had a 1960/KJV bilingual Bible, and I had noticed several corrupt readings in it as I read through it. Then by the grace of God I got a RVG and began studying it. Around the same time I got a 1602 purificada, and I would compare them. I would compare and study each one meticulously, and I would fast and pray, asking the Lord to give me wisdom. After years of studying, comparing, and praying, with the Lord confirming that the RVG is the best. I’m 100% confident that the Reina Valera Gomez is the purest, and most reliable Bible in Spanish.

The Reina Valera Gomez is the best Spanish Bible. It is the most faithful to the TR. Its Spanish is perfect. Those who claim the Spanish in it is bad never give any examples because they don't have any. Humberto Gomez and most of the men around the world who helped him are native Spanish speakers. The RV1602 Purificada is definitely faithful to the Received Text and beautiful! I am just not sure why the translators chose to translate "The Word" in John 1:1 (and everywhere else it applies to Jesus Christ) as "La Palabra". In Spanish some words are masculine and some are feminine. "La Palabra" (although it is the most accurate Spanish translation for "The Word") has a feminine connotation. The Reina Valera Gomez (RVG), like some other Reina Valera translations, translates "The Word" (referring to Jesus Christ) as "El Verbo" (The Verb), which has a masculine connotation in Spanish. The "most recently discovered" and "oldest" manuscripts don't reveal anything new at all. The Vaticanus has been known since the 1400s, and Erasmus rejected it as full of errors. The Alexandrinus and Sinaiticus are full of those same errors, likely from early Gnostic heretics and Alexandrian philosophers who hated Jesus as God in the flesh. The Textus Receptus and Masoretic, as well ss some faithful Latin manuscripts, were used by God to preserve His Bible over the past 2000 years for His saints. The corrupt manuscripts of the critical text and modern bibles have produced horrendous fruit and mass apostasy, whereas the KJB and other good Majority text bibles have produced the Reformation and the great revivals of the 1700s to 1900s.
Its obvious why the RVG rejects the newly discovered corrupt manuscripts because using them leads to dead churches and false converts.
God bless all in the name of Jesus Christ!
2Co 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Psa 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
