Completed the graduation lei today. This was my first time making a lei and I love the results. I will say I’m sure it took me 1 hour just figuring out exactly how to follow the instructions. After I understood the processes I’m sure I put i put in another 6 hours. I like the way you broke the directions down into steps. I’m 77 so that may be the reason I was so slow. I’ll post a picture before I take it to Charlotte this weekend. Thank you.
I made one for my daughter and added her school colors with paper aadded extra bees,on the end so the money want rub against her neck it turn out great she love it thanks for step by step .
I’ve been making these leis for years but the rubber bands cut the time in half. Im inspired again. I’m glad I found this video. Thank you for posting this.
Every time someone asks me to make them a $ lei. I send them a TH-cam link. I’ll be sending your links from now on. Lol thanks for this! Sala, wala! So pretty. I seriously love how you took your time and shared detailed information and the tips.
I finished this lei last night (June 1, 2022) in time for my granddaughter's graduation! Thank you for your great directions...yes, time consuming (I made only 1 lei), but well worth the effort! I'm ready to make more!!! My granddaughter loved it! :-)
Thank so much last minute , but you indeed gives good instructions , so I believe that I will do it and I can do it and it’s going to be done thank you, my hats off to you
Love the money lei's. Ashley only asked me after my sons graduation, why I didn't get him a Samoan Lei, usually mini chocolates... Nicely done Caroline.
Hello I love your video. Gonna make this for my son. So if you made two, were they each $50/$50 or did you divide them differently to nest in each other? If so how many each please?
I made a lei last year and it took so long but it looks so good when it is all finished! The beads were a nice touch...mine was so boring 😂😂 Love this video!
Did you use 50 bills or 100? I'm not sure to go with 50 2s or 100 1s. From what I understood, she used 100 total to make two leis and I'm only needing 1 so leaning more towards the 50 bills of $2
I'm a Poly Kiwi living in Australia and am going to make one of these with American $1 for my nephews B-Day tonight 😂 we dont have $1 notes here only $5,10, 20, 50,100 lol. Thanks i really enjoyed your vid!
How pretty. I think that wouldn’t work with Australian money because our notes are made out of plastic🤦🏻♀️ but the spiral Lei’s are so aesthetically pleasing 😆 I love it
Omg lady I always wondered how these were made! Haha like straight up because they are so cool & look like a lot work 😫😂 I like to make lolly necklaces hehe but who knows thanx to your video I might give this a go next time 😂🙌
NessacxBeauty awe Thank you Nessa. I was so late I should have posted done this weeks ago because graduations started weeks ago. P.s. so proud of you and your masters lady😘😘😘
Maybe you could use colored paper (School colors) slips cut the same size as your bills are, and then just use what ever you would like to give. Like 4@5 for $20 . Just put them at the bottom of the lei so the money can be seen. Hope this is to late and this helps you.
I’m pretty sure, it depends on how long you want your lei to be, if you want the lei long then measure the string longer, if you want to be short, then shorter it down..
I love these but I remember when I made one for my son it took him forever to take apart and then took the money to the bank to deposit in the ATM was hell
Thank you so much!!! Honestly I appreciate step by step because it definitely helps making one tomorrow 🥹. This was the easiest ti follow without confusion! Thank you❤️
Thank you finally found someone that explains it so clear and easy to understand, thank you ! The outcome is beautiful and worth doing
Excellent directions with video pictures and voice. One of the best step by step instructional videos I've seen. Good Job.
God bless you thank you for share your Video beautiful lei
instead of cutting all that tape, I'm using 3/8" removable glue dots. Speeds up the process.
Great idea 💡
Glue dots are really hard to remove , it will definitely rip or make the money not usable
How much do you charge customers for making the lei?
@@educ8dmindat least $20-$25 4 hours of work + materials
I like to tell you explained everything and I liked the view that you did. Mahalo!

@@jenniferpulgarin3882 I used 50 bills. that was sufficient for a single Lei.

Can you please link the beads you bought? I ordered some but the holes are to small. Thanks. 🤙🏼
How pretty. I think that wouldn’t work with Australian money because our notes are made out of plastic🤦🏻♀️ but the spiral Lei’s are so aesthetically pleasing 😆 I love it
Gen Of Eve thank you Gen. I didn’t even think about that. Do people I AUS make money leis at all?
urcreatedbeautifully yeah we do. They just don’t look as pretty as the spirals😆
I am so impressed..this is amazing..a great way to give money 👍🏻 Gave you a shoutout in my last one
LittleMakeupChannel thank you, it’s our cultural lei but here in the Bay Area most people wear them now at graduations
Who else wants to craft this for themselves, to reward adulting!? 🙋🏻♀️ #justme #ok 😂
MariluzMakeupCorner yes me👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

So you made a double lei with $100?
Im starting on the beading/threading process now with 100 of them.
That is soooo beautiful! Just finished watching the whole vid and I'm definitely going to make money Lei's for next celebrations. So nicely done fam!
M&N VLOGS that’s awesome, takes a while to make but not hard. Thanks for watching fam
Question! So with $100 you made two lei’s so that’s why it looks double right?
Aloha...did you use $50 or $100 for each lei? My son is tall so I want to make sure it's long enough...Mahalo
love it
That Beautiful I will be doing that
Love it!! It really is the most time consuming but the end result is so worth it! 🤗

What is the measurement for the ribbon?
Love it!
I just sat down and watched this with my mom and now I’m begging her for a money lei
NessacxBeauty awe Thank you Nessa. I was so late I should have posted done this weeks ago because graduations started weeks ago. P.s. so proud of you and your masters lady😘😘😘

Wow fakaofoofa lei nice.
Aurel Chifan thank you bro
How many dollars 💵 bills were used?
It was $100.00 but she made 2 of them so $50 for each one. I would go by what I can afford to give as I have a lot of graduates.
use small glue dots is way faster
HOIII I LIVE IN CANADA AND I WISH WE HAD $1 BILLS HAHAAH!!!
Maybe you could use colored paper (School colors) slips cut the same size as your bills are, and then just use what ever you would like to give. Like 4@5 for $20 . Just put them at the bottom of the lei so the money can be seen. Hope this is to late and this helps you.
Where was the spiral part?
Tape dots.
What was the length of the ribbon?
I’m pretty sure, it depends on how long you want your lei to be, if you want the lei long then measure the string longer, if you want to be short, then shorter it down..
Po kari po
I love these but I remember when I made one for my son it took him forever to take apart and then took the money to the bank to deposit in the ATM was hell
Looks uncomfortable.
