Robert, you are so funny when you make comments about places making a fast lane. I love your sense of humor!!!! Your videos are great and I love that you get out and explore wherever you are unlike some other traveling video makers who just drive through or get out and walk a short short distance and then back to the vehicle. Thanks for what you do!!!!❤
Robert please don't ever change your song or music during videos. It gives me joy and relaxation watching your videos. The sunrises and sunsets are my favorite. Man you do a great job at filming and editing. My favorite TH-cam channel. Thank you!!!
Although I live in the Midwest, my heart is on the east coast. This was one of the most enjoyable travel videos ever! Thanks for taking us along, Robert.
This trip episode is the exact journey that me and my wife want to do when we finally retire in 2023. We will also be pulling a travel trailer during our adventure. We will be leaving from Ct so we won't be going thru Long Island but south of NYC we would like to take the same route that you took. Thanks for giving us a preview and ideas that we will incorporate on our trip.
Great video! Videos like this really put it into perspective how blessed I have been to have grown up on the Outer Banks. It’s easy to forget when it’s all you’ve known.
I’m really a fan of your western US adventures, but I caught myself watching these two episodes over and over again… Eastern coast is beautiful, and so are your movies. Pure delight!
I just stumbled across this video because the youtube algorithm knows I love the Outer Banks- it just so happens I was in Kill Devil Hills, NC on vacation when you drove through! My family always stays in Duck, NC and Hatteras every year. Just a fun coincidence. Happy Travels!
I’m so happy to see you were able to spend time in the Outer Banks. They are my souls home, and I truly believe one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in this country. Your (perceived) reluctance to leave is exactly how I feel when I have to move on from there. Hopefully next time you can spend time in the northern area, so you can see the wild horses actually playing on the beach and in the water. To anyone who wonders if the sunrises are really that beautiful..yes, yes they are.
My wife and I lives in Hawaii and love watching and traveling with you. Love your traveling song as well and sometimes I sing it while driving 😂 Mahalo🤙🏽
I always enjoy your photography, but in this video sunrises and sunsets were particularly spectacular. That sunset from the ferry in Delaware was especially exquisite.
Hello Robert, this is definitely a special Episode and veeeeeeeerrry goood..... So my Sunday was special again...... or much better. Thank you for you videos....... it brings me a part of Freedom in my livingroom........ and you know..... one day..... i come with a switzerland beer ;-) Greetings from Bern. Tom
I lived on the Outer Banks for 25 years off and on so when I heard the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was going to be moved I drove down from DC and got hired by the main company contracted for the move. The highlight was climbing the stairs to the light level during hurricane Dennis after losing my truck to the ocean. Beautiful place but now Carolina Beach is my summer spot which I highly recommend especially if you have kids.
Really enjoyed this season. Thank you and Ily for what you are doing here. Your work is educational and fun and the camera work is amazing. Best wishes.
Thanks for stopping by Lewes! Crazy to see you cruising around my neck of the woods, shame you couldn't spend more time. You definitely hit the nail on the head with OC, TOURISTY! Consider Cape Henlopen SP next time you come through, lots of history, good paths, great beaches.
Outstanding video! My name is Bryan Garnett, I am a retired High School Teacher from NJ. Moving to PA. I have an RV on order since October that I hope to have by May. I can't wait to travel. I took notes throughout your video and I plan to visit many of the points of interest. Thank you!
Excellent video.........The coastal trip.......with tunnels and bridges.......the beaches...... and of course the spectacular sunsets .congrats and see you on the road......Love MOM
Robert this one of the most enjoyable videos we’ve watched in some time. You went through 2 or 3 of my former home towns & our most favorite vacation spot in the Continental US. Thank you for a walk down memory lane. Cant wait for your Lewis & Clark trip
Hello Traveling Robert🎵🎵😊😊🎸🎸🍔🍔🍔, FLY PELICANS😄😄! I have been to the places along the coast all the way to Hatteras Lighthouse...and it's so beautiful! Perhaps you will return to the Outer Banks and spend more time. This was a great video Robert and I look forward to your next travel season👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.
Really enjoyable series the last few weeks. Was happy when you travelled through my old home area of Belmar, NJ. You picked the right time of year to visit the coastline. Great weather and a lot less crowded than the summer months. Have you ever considered putting together a video of all the breweries you’ve visited on your travels. That would be interesting.
One of your best- maybe because we could remember our trips in that area. But we Ohioans have fallen in love with outer banks as you obviously did. You made me want to pack a bag for NC as well as Maryland and Chesapeake areas. Thank you.
Glad you got the chance to cruise down the Outer Banks and go to 1718 brewing etc. I’ve been out there twice now and loved it both times, it was awesome to see it on video and kind of relive it again. The first time my wife and I went we drove the OBX from basically Kitty Hawk down to Ocracoke then the ferry back to main land( that’s a downer they were sold out of passes on that ferry for you) and the second time I wanted to truly drive the whole thing so we went from Corolla to Ocracoke and back up to Duck where we were staying. I never wanted to leave when we were there either just like the keys they’re an amazing stretch of islands.
Thank you for today’s video. I really enjoyed it. In Virginia you drove near the Wallops Island NASA center. It is a neat place. I love the Outer Banks and the Southern Outer Banks. I have spent many vacations and fishing trips there. Again, thank you.
It's a real pity that you couldn't spend more time in Ocracoke. It's the one place I know of on the east coast with a real subculture. If you park your car and walk around the town you'll encounter small graveyards everywhere from generations of local fisherman. From what I understand, the English language didn't become common on the island until the ferry system was started in the 1950's. For a time, the outer banks was a proposed nuclear test site. Can you believe that? I've lived in NC for 30 years and Ocracoke is the one place I love to return to.
Sunset grill just like in marathon Key, FL.. LOL. The wild horse are beautiful. I saw some wild horses in Montana on my way to yellow stone. Why did the horse cross the road? To get a better look at Minitini... LOL.
What a great video, Outer banks is indeed an idyllic place. Plus the editing is superb ; so many shades of the sky and great views of the pelicans . Enjoyed it
It's been just about 2 years since I first discovered your channel during initial Covid shutdown! I've enjoyed every video since, plus some of the older ones. I'll be anxiously awaiting the 2022 season...and wearing my new Free In My RV tee shirt that I just ordered! 😁
ROBERT..THESE SERIES OF YOUR FALL SEASON..HAS TO BE ONE OF YOUR BEST...THE SCENERY WAS SPECTACULAR...WE TRULY ENJOYED ALL OF THE VIDEO'S THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK PUTTING IT TOGETHER.. CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE.. AMIGO ..GOD BLESS.
A great video. We did a very similar trip in October of 2022. Beautiful. I know what you mean about highways where you are literally along the sea. I would suggest Quebec highway 132 around the Gaspe Penninsula. It is just over 500 miles around, and the sea is in full view for the vast majority of it... quite an amazing stretch of road actually.. safe travels.
Loved seeing where I grew up in MD and Ocean City area. Loved seeing the Outer Banks where my husband I honeymooned many moons ago. Wish you'd driven by the Ocracoke Lighthouse. Maybe next time.
That Oregon inlet bridge is brand new! Didn’t hear that mentioned. Never drive in that obx sand without airing down. Lol nice to see my hometown on here!
Thanks for that lovely East Coast journey! I want desperately to visit Maryland & especially ocean City 😍 btw, during the last 7min, when you went into the water, with that "Freaking Hot" Shirt was a great idea 😂
Robert, Thank You so much for all of your videos! And a Special Thanks to your Riding In My RV song!!! It is the most calming and soothing song in my world right now! We get our RV sometime at the end of this year and we can’t wait to follow in your footsteps on some great adventures! We’ve been watching you for a very long time and we always look forward to your relaxing videos. Have a Great evening!
Absolutely beautiful places, wonderful beaches ⛱, stunning views touch ❤ in my heart. I am speechless and spellbound. Amazing 👏 video, really enjoy this video very much, thanks.
The granite to build that monument came from my home town Mt, Airy N.C., also that plane is flying around every time we are there in Kill Devil Hills love the Outer Banks but how it has changed since '60's and '70's.
Cool U mentioned Cape Henlopen State Park, v cool, sorry U missed it. Glad U got to see Cape May and O.C., and Rehobeth..at least some. Been to Dogfishhead hello. Haven't been to Assatique since like 6 years old Mom told me alot of mesquitos
I live in Eastern North Carolina. Born and raised here. The outer banks are beautiful. Very laid back. They also have the wild horses there. I visit the outer banks often. Highway 12 is a beautiful drive.
Your quick visit to Ocean City brought back many fond childhood memories as my late father was from the Eastern Shore of MD town of Cambridge and I spent many a summer vacation with my MD cousins frolicking in the Ocean City beach surf. And no visit to that beach would be complete without ending it with an order of Thrashers french fries. Robert, on your next visit to that area bypass the burger and beer joints and head to some local place and order up some world famous Maryland blue crabs which I who is a lifelong Rhode Islander and has very easy access to decent priced lobster prefer blue crabs over lobster hands down!!!
Watching here Sunday afternoon. Thanks again for all you do to show us the fabulous parts of this great country.ion the big screen it feels like we’re right there with you. Cheers!
im a resident on the outer banks. i actually used to live on the street right next to the KOA in rodanthe. now i live in kitty hawk. always nice to see people enjoying their vacation in the place i call home.
excellent video, thank you very much for making us discover your beautiful country. I'm a new subscriber and I'm already a fan of your videos. excuse me for my English, because my mother tongue is French. best wishes.
Wish I knew you were coming through the outer banks. Born and raised here, would’ve had a coffee or other beverage with you one afternoon up in nags head area and shown you some hidden gems that us locals enjoy that tourists rarely discover. Hope your trip over the new bridge was a good one. Liked and subscribed!
Beautiful video of morning on Assateague Island. Very artistic. Lived in area for 10 years. Went tent camping there once and ponies were a bit rude while we tried cooking breakfast. One stole a loaf of bread and ate it and somehow spit out the plastic. Another grabbed some bacon. Definitely did not like it and forcefully expelled it. Wish I knew you were going to the lighthouse at Cape Hatteras. My daughter and son in law own the first restaurant(or Eatery as its called) on the right when you get to Buxton. Would have loved hosting you!
Ah, Sunday morning...a cuppa joe, a toasted bagel, and a new Traveling Robert episode...yay! I hit a lot of the same spots on my 2004 road trip, watching this brings back some great memories. I got up early one morning and rode my bike all around the Kill Devil Hills site--had the place all to myself. Pretty cool to ride along that flight path in the footsteps (so to speak) of the Wright Brothers. No trip to the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse? What a bummer! What's really neat is being able to look down from the top at the path from the previous location. As far as the green flash goes, I rewound a couple of times but did not see it. Maybe I need a 4k TV or something ;-) Until next time, happy trails!
I always head down rte 95 when heading to Florida. This trip made me think maybe someday I should take a coastal trip like this. Thanks for all you do. Always enjoy your Sunday morning videos so much.
Spectacular trip!!!😁 Absolutely one of your best videos. Totally enjoyable. So many areas you covered. Ocean City Maryland looked like it would be a great place in the summer. Love the beaches, but like you said too cold in the winter. Your a master at Sun rises and sun sets shots. Happy travels Robert😁
Hay Robert thanks for showing us the Atlantic... tt looks pretty flat to me.... went to Pacific with you the other day,,,, I sing along to your catching tune.. cheers mines a guiness
Gpooooood morning! These past view videos have been so delightful. Like seriously, right up there w/ your Keys/Matlacha camping, which we binge constantly during our cold New England winters lol. Many thanks & cheers 😃✌ 💘 🌴 🍺
The nice thing about traveling with Robert is, he does all the driving.
And he pays for all the gas lol
Robert, you are so funny when you make comments about places making a fast lane. I love your sense of humor!!!! Oh and should have over a million subscribers. More people should watch because its so chill and relaxing. What more people need right now!!
Family started a new drinking game.
When ever Robert says "Be back some day" we take a shot.
Having a tough time seeing the end of the videos
Now that’s funny, well done.
You're three sheets to the wind!
Although I live in the Midwest, my heart is on the east coast. This was one of the most enjoyable travel videos ever! Thanks for taking us along, Robert.
Sunday morning coffee watching Traveling Robert has become a tradition we look forward to. Thanks again for another great video!
That's Monday morning tradition for me in Pakistan 🇵🇰
Whenever I see beach I feel happy.
Great video, one of your best!!!! And that’s saying a lot because you have so many good ones.
We got stuck in sand on the outer banks as well. Also had a good Samaritan pull us out! They must see it a lot.

ADDITIONALLY..IT WAS GREAT TO SEE ILLIE IN A LOT OF YOUR FOOTAGE.. KEEP IT UP... THANKS AGAIN.
Love the new Riding in my RV verses.. thanks Robert..!!

Finally heard your song with all the verses! Wonderful. This video was great..

To anyone who wonders if the sunrises are really that beautiful..yes, yes they are.
Fitting end to the journey, Outer Banks is definitely a bucket list candidate. The amount of editing that must have taken must have been staggering.
I camp at Cape Henlopen a lot and always wanted to ride the ferry, but the wife gets seasick. I will live vicariously through you today. Thanks. : - )
Nice to see my neck of the woods in your blog. Goooood morning Robert.
One of my favorite videos traveling Robert. Awesome brother.
God bless and protect you always 🙏 ❤️
Thanks Robert for showing how beautiful the east coast is.
Ocean city Maryland has always been my home away from home. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed yourself Robert.😎
My wife and I lives in Hawaii and love watching and traveling with you. Love your traveling song as well and sometimes I sing it while driving 😂
Mahalo🤙🏽
Thank You Robert for the Extended Coverage in my Home State of North Carolina. The Outer Banks are my Most Favorite place to be.
That was AWESOME!! Been to many of those places. Great to relive them. Thank you ❤

Very enjoyable travelogue, Robert. My wife and I enjoyed this episode very much. Photography and Musical Accompaniment were stellar, as usual.
We love Assateague Island. We arrived to the state park side the day you departed. Hope our paths cross sometime.
I lived on the Outer Banks for 25 years off and on so when I heard the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was going to be moved I drove down from DC and got hired by the main company contracted for the move. You know you can drive along the NH coast. All 14 miles of it!😎 Love this video. This is my 3rd time watching it.
Wow! I did not know about Ocean City and Wild horses that is Beautiful!

Good Morning Robert. Happy Sunday! Hey, you got your tootsies wet! Once again, another great video, Robert. Fly Pelican Fly!

Hi Chris, we go to outer banks for vacation first time, what would be your best advice?
excellent video, thank you very much for making us discover your beautiful country. I'm a new subscriber and I'm already a fan of your videos. excuse me for my English, because my mother tongue is French. best wishes.
Glad you got to meet up with Dale. Its funny that you released a video on his region and he released one on Key West! Nice job.
Hi, we go to outer banks in 2 weeks for vacation, what would be your best advice?
Next vehicle, definitely get 4WD or AWD for sure! Loved this episode!!! OBX is a beautiful location; only been once, but plan to return!
My home from eastern shore to obx grew up in this water. Love it
Beautiful video of morning on Assateague Island.
Excellent video Robert!
So glad you got to enjoy Ocean City, MD. My favorite place

Ocean City Maryland looked like it would be a great place in the summer. Love the beaches, but like you said too cold in the winter.
Your a master at Sun rises and sun sets shots.
Happy travels Robert😁
