What a trip and what a video! It’s close to a tie with your Lewis and Clark journey only because L&C is my favorite part of our Country’s history. Well done
Florida-north to Alaska took me three days to watch, but it was well worth it. Thank you for the effort you must have put into it. This means a lot for 75-year old Dutchman who has never been farther from Amsterdam than a few hundred miles. I have watched most of your vids and will continue to do so until I've seen all of them. 1:17:44 Once an airstrip?
I love your videos and am working my way through all of them. I have a lovely life, but will never be able to travel in the way you do but I can go vicariously with your channel. :)
I used to think that way, but if you truly want to do these things, YOU CAN! Work hard and SAY DEDICATED AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! It amazing what you can achieve when you want it bad enough.
With that kind of mindset you will spend the rest of your life in your hometown never having seen the outside world. Dream big, work hard and ditch your comfort zone.
Are you familiar with a YT guy Truck House Life? He's cureently on his second attempt of doing the same trip in the dead of winter in his highly modified F350 diesel truck. camper.
Robert, missed you by five days! We camped at the Artic Circle Campground on the 21st left the 22nd. I too took a drive after midnight, but it was cloudy. This was our second time on the Dalton as well and the first time towing a travel trailer on the highway. Last time, seven years ago, we tented it. th-cam.com/video/jQoumZP39Jk/w-d-xo.html Your previous video series on the Dalton inspired me to make the drive, thank you!
Wow, what an amazing video. The Dalton Highway is amazing and so beautiful. The only real way to see Alaska is to drive where there are roads. Alaska is so beautiful, thank you so much for sharing your videos, they are really amazing. The rainbow was beautiful. I was surprised to not see alot of wildlife. The pipeline is remarkable the way it was built.
I use two free ad-blockers that eliminate all the ads except those that are parts of the videos themselves. TH-cam griped about this, so I shut off the ad-blockers for a day or so, after which they work again.
New subscriber as of today. I was talking to a friend about traveling and they recommended me to come to your channel. I’m also from south Florida. I’ve always wanted to go to Alaska. It’s on my bucket list. Thank you for taking me.
Thanks! Love the story. When the mosquitos got bad was it still May? Can you say what date you started the Dalton? (edit - my guess June 24? Just found your Solstice video!) Thanks again
Traveling Robert everything was said that needs to be said it was fabulous. I will be taking two trips this year if God willing I've waited a year to take these two trips.
@@TravelingRobert Oh ok,we love watching them but we were a bit confused this morning as it said up loaded an hour ago so we assumed it happened recently… Thanks for clarifying
Hello. We just covered the same route, but in August. Lot of rain and mud. We didn’t see many trailers and heard some sad tales from folks who towed a trailer . Hats off to you for your successful journey.👍 We sang your theme song more than once on the trip and made comments about how easy you made it look! 😮 We enjoy your videos especially anything dealing with the Keys. Best wishes and great travels, everett3223

Hello from Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦
Great work! Thank you.
Thank you for driving me somewhere I know I will never get to in my lifetime. What an amazing world!

Actually, Coldfoot was discovered by well diggers and was appropriately named....
but, alas, was changed in the '20s to make it more tourist friendly.
I miss the KIA it made for more of an adventure
Did you have to use 4x4 or was 4x2 ok?
I used it on the more sketchy parts and when it was raining.
Thank you I ask because my truck is only a rear wheel drive.@@TravelingRobert

I think I watched that Pinto video before. Might do the Dalton again next year.
@@TravelingRobert we are also planning a return trip to Alaska next year. Perhaps we will cross paths. This winter we are heading to the Southwest.
Excellent video Robert, thanks! Enjoyed the whole trip on the Dalton highway. The Brooks range was so beautiful. It was all exceptional.

🏔 Whoa!! What an opening beginning view that was. Such wonderful landscapes 🌌 🏞 🗻 🌅 🌉 👍🏽 @Traveling Robert 💖😎
The adds are a little much. It’s like every 5 minutes.
I pay youtube 10 euros a month to avoid that. Also using an add-blocker will help.

you make me feel as if I am there with, you thank you for what you do love the videos
A Canadian Adventurer, recommend a product name Muskoil for those terrible Alaskan mosquitoes.
When you say "muskoil" do you mean the Egyptian type? Or is there a formulation specifically for mosquitoes? Amazon isn't showing a repellant..
The music is so beautiful and soothing. 😌
When was this video made I thought it was snowed over and cold in Alaska this time of year
This was last summer. My video are never up to date
