My husband has a pair of clippers that are 14 years old. He never cleaned and I plan on using them now to cut my boys hair since the barber shops are closed. The clippers have some nasty build up in between the blades. Will these methods work to clean them up? Thank you

Wow super cool, I'm not barber. I've owned 3-4 pairs of balding clippers and I've used oil after every use and wiped them down. But somehow the blades always end up rusting. I've changed the blades a few times but usually ending up just getting new clippers in the $50. range. However my wife just bought me these ION extreme cordless clippers my best by far. This video was really helpful for cleaning. Do you want to still oil after you clean them? Or does the solution contain a lubricant as well? Should I oil mine after each use or any advice to keep my new clippers in tip top shape.
