I watched all three Christmas in July movies and only Operation Nutracker was watchable but not my rewatchable level good, because the characters felt too childish. Falling like Snowflakes was imo let down by the technical side (the snow but also lol that fake branch falling) and in some cases acting (the rival and the kid). Also the gallery woman was always in high heels while we're supposedly dealing with snowstorm weather and everyone else was wearing boots. A Very Vermont Christmas was just boring, the romance was too rushed. I was watching and thinking what they were going to stuff into next 50 minutes and then took a break. If I had sth else to watch, I probably wouldn't even finish it even though I like Ryan McPartlin, there's sth I can't warmed up to in Katie Leclers as Christmas movie lead (she's fine in Switched at birth). I really hope this is not what the real Christmas season will be like at Hallmark. Also I noticed there's different with the way the movies are filmed? Like there's so much focus on the foreground and the rest is somewhat blurred? And then in the darker scenes, the eyes can look very weary or... stoned.
I thought the rival felt old school Hallmark. This was fine
Yup, my thoughts exactly. She got a legacy HM cheese pass 😂
Hanukkah on Rye was last "Christmas" season- you guys just reviewed it as part of the summer docket.
Riiiiiiight. I didn’t think of that when I checked our old videos for timeline 😂

I feel both leads were able to elevate a mediocre script. BTW I thought the cab of the snowplow decorated in Christmas fare was a funny little touch.
Agree! They could t take it too far, but it didn’t fall completely flat, that’s for sure
I liked this way more than I was expecting to. I like both leads but probably won’t watch again.
