I had no clue they were dumping sewage in the water there! Wtf? I live in Texas and what we do is have a "waste water treatment facility" that basically pumps the sewage full of bacteria which feeds on the waste. After the bacteria consumes all the waste, the water (now called grey water) is treated with bleach and then reused. We use it to water football fields, it's used to restock airplane toilets, and probably the oil field too. I am shocked that y'all don't do that there! i just discovered your channel and im so greatful for this. Its really frustrating watching the news here in Germany where watching the news is just depressing because its just bad ones over and over and it seems like the common conversation is overrun by the far right more and more. its just so refreshing to see that not everything looks so dull. keep up the good work :)
I definitely prefer the more in-depth news coverage for long-form content. Hearing so many details about the projects scientists are working on to improve our lives gives me so much hope.

USA here. I noticed you started in on the more technical good news after getting 2/3rds through. I liked that. I especially like the new sodium battery solution and how Japanese scientists found a solution to eliminating PFAS chemicals. Well done. Could you do this once a week?
Yeah I try and balance the stories out so it’s not super technical stuff all up front, but it gives people time to warm up to those ones! Thank for noticing and for the feedback
@@itsSamBentley I think it was great. Oh yeah you forgot to cover the new Tidal generator up in Scotland. The 2 megawatt (I think) prototype that powers 2000 homes was successful! And the next one could be scaled up to 20 times the size or more. The tide is always flowing in and out 4 times a day. It's almost so simple.

Watching from Texas. It really helps to know that there isn't just people rushing others to make change, but actual progress is being made. Here in Texas it is AWFUL with the amount of pollution and litter everywhere, I feel like I won't see even cloudy blue water here for a very long time. I wanna get there! I also need to work out what to call a mid-month news segment, (any ideas are appreciated) once I get to 100k I’m hoping I’ll have enough support to bring in people to help me make them bi-monthly ones!
I’m watching from Alaska (a US state), thank you for spreading positivity =) - you (and those who are doing similar work) are like a raft in a cold sea of pessimism, I appreciate it a lot even though I’ve only started watching recently 😅
So glad i found your channel. Bad news always makes me feel so helpeless and like my desires and efforts mean nothing no matter what. Its so helpful to have that balance of good and bad to keep that motivation up

olá meu amigo!
Hello and thank you from Poland for always spreading the good word! Everytime, I get quite emotional after watching your videos, it's good to know that there is still some hope for our World out there!
Thank you for watching! I’m glad I can inject some positivity into your day 🙌🏼
Saw this pop up in my feed and literally said, "yes!" Starting to really look forward to these. Thanks Sam! Watching from California, USA.
Watching from the UK, 1.5k likes and 0 dislikes really says it all. Become a part of my monthly routine watching these good news videos. Keep them coming!
Hello and thank you from Estonia!
I'm from Northern Arizona, USA. There are some cool things people are working on here in the four corners area, especially in relation to the Native Tribes and the Universities in the region. Thank you so much for sharing all of this amazing progress!
Watching from Mexico! Good news are so important ☺️ Thank you!
¡Gracias por mirar a mi amigo!
Here from the U.S. Makes me happy that I came across your channel, I had to subscribe. So tired of hearing nothing but bad everyday. THANK YOU for sharing good news from all over the world.🙂
Watching from New York City. The news about the PFAS is so encouraging!
We need more solutions to PFAS ASAP!
Norway here. It's really refreshing watching other parts of the world starting to care for its nature. I'm a little worried that things are going backwards in some places here...
Thank you so much for these positive videos! Its really helped me see the good things happening in the world instead of yhe negative. Watching from Arkansas!
Watching from Thailand with two awesome students watching the good news from around the world.
We are loving your Good NEWS here in Rohnert Park California USA. Thank you.
i just discovered your channel and im so greatful for this.
Hearing so many details about the projects scientists are working on to improve our lives gives me so much hope.
had a rough July, even rougher August, thank you for these videos to keep reminding me not all is melancholy. You are amazing dude ❤
Thank you for the good news. It’s nice to know some parts of the world actually have reasons to celebrate 😊
Also, I like the deep dive format 👍👍
Positivity always wins! Good News Network starts my morning and once a week Wild Hope adds another story about people working with nature to improve the environment. Your show sums it up with weekly updates and the longer monthly. There is more good out there than most people realize!
In the UK and in the area served by Thames Water which was recently fined for sewage discharge. Here's hoping they will be sorted out soon. I'm that optimist in the family that is always telling everyone that the world isn't as bad a place as the news makes out, so it is great to see videos like one, with plenty of ammunition for making my case!
I'm from the United States! I look forward to your videos each month! Thank you for spreading positivity and encouraging sustainable projects!❤
It’s great to have a bouquet of stories like this, now I can research if I want more detail on any of them. Thanks for doing this!
Wales (UK) here, always enjoy these videos.
Watching from Texas. It really helps to know that there isn't just people rushing others to make change, but actual progress is being made. Here in Texas it is AWFUL with the amount of pollution and litter everywhere, I feel like I won't see even cloudy blue water here for a very long time. Going around the neighborhood and picking up trash helps me feel a little better about it. Thanks for keeping us all afloat, I really needed this
I'm watching in Ireland, Dublin. I always hear alot of bad things from family and friends about Ukrainian people moving in.
Watching from Milan, Italy. We probably have the most polluted air in Europe, so the news about PFAS is a really good! Thank you for sharing this positive news, the world needs them!
I love this channel! Greetings from Finland❤
I'm from California in the US and tuning in from Berlin, Germany! Thank you for this! I love starting my day with good news
Hello from Poland! Loving the good news : >
❤
Last 2 good news were absolutely amazing, but the
11:37 IS THE BEST THING EVER! I can't even find the words to express how lovely that is
Germans, assemble!
Jawoll!
Anwesend!
Da sind wir dabei
My favourite German phrase is “Das ist verrückt” great word
Hier! 😁🥰
I definitely prefer going deeper into each topic. Cant wait to see September!
Watching from the USA. I was having a rough morning, I really needed this.
These stories are great to see. As my Dad always said 'Humans are supposed to be the caretakers of the earth, not it's destroyer'. It's brilliant to finally see companies and projects that are actually changing the world for the better as opposed to just talking about it.
Watching from Finland! Thank you for spreading the good news!
Watching from Bavaria, Germany and here to tell you, that this is such a lovely idea, spreading some optimism in those depressing times we live in can make someone’s day so much better, I appreciate it.
hello from australia!! i'm so glad this channel was recommended to me
I’m glad you found me!
I’m watching from Denmark. I really appreciate the longer stories in this video.
Watching this in Virginia and this made me feel better about the world
Thanks for being here! Beautiful place in autumn/fall I heard!
Watching from Texas, specifically WTX where all the oil and gas are. I really needed this today. I’m new here but I prefer the more in depth videos. If people still want the brief ones, maybe it’s possible to do those as shorts. Thanks so much for what you do
I am appalled that gas companies are allowed to just abandon wells without any repercussions 😮
Thank you for this positive information!! Feeling hopeful in humanity
I'm in the USA btw
Love it! I lived there for a few years the national parks are just unreal
@@itsSamBentley yessss agreed!!
I really like both formats . I even use them to teach my students about real possibilities for our planet.
Watching from The Netherlands! Love the videos and the shorts! Faith in humanity restores every time :D
I had a Dutch Aunt but sadly passed last year, love my Dutch amigos ❤️
@@itsSamBentley Aw, my condolences. I hope she had an amazing life
Love, love this program. Especially the salt based battery. Amazing what brilliant people focused on improving the world can do
can you upload bi-weekly
I wanna get there! I also need to work out what to call a mid-month news segment, (any ideas are appreciated) once I get to 100k I’m hoping I’ll have enough support to bring in people to help me make them bi-monthly ones!
I’m from Canada, Quebec, and anything you do brings me immense joy
Love your monthly Good News. 💚
I’ll keep it rolling!
Watching from New York City USA. Thank you for sharing good news for our planet!
Hi Vietnam, Cambodia is not a war zone any more, if there is something wrong happening there it is not Cambodian people's faults, we want peace.
I’m watching from Alaska (a US state), thank you for spreading positivity =) - you (and those who are doing similar work) are like a raft in a cold sea of pessimism, I appreciate it a lot even though I’ve only started watching recently 😅
Watching from Morocco love your videos.
Dont know if you can find good news here 😂 not saying there isn't
I’ll try scout some for next month!
So glad i found your channel. Bad news always makes me feel so helpeless and like my desires and efforts mean nothing no matter what. Its so helpful to have that balance of good and bad to keep that motivation up
