Everyday questions raced through her mind, A beautiful, mild and meek individual, she hardly ever raised her voice, This cycle was unrelenting and rapidly becoming overdue and stale, Huddled in a corner several times a day, the tears were now her “friends,” Why was she constantly punishing herself? At the Ocean she started gaining more clarity, A fleeting thought cycled by, did she actually love herself? Did she allow other vicious people to treat her this way? The gentle little angels, cannot defend themselves, But now she was in a position to do exactly that, She swallowed hard and made a promise to herself, Starting today with self-love.
