According to his widow, the late great Shane McGowan spent the last days of his life binge watching father Ted on a box set over and over and he would not stop laughing she said.
"Unknown actors"? Who writes this stuff? There were several well known actors in Fr. Ted. But I suppose research is a bit much to ask for. Alright so, its quite a good documentary and I'm being mean.
Geezz I am an American...have been watching a lot of old British movies and sitcoms...(you know I like Alec G."...wish internet was in the 70's...lol...
I am Dutch, different sense of humour but this had me going! Laughed myself silly! English humour always depends on put downs or making a fool out of. But this is so good!
Some of his scenes were laborious...others, like the one of the cliff were brilliant....the same with Mrs Doyle....when I rewatch the episodes I normally fast forward through her parts - I think its a combination of bad acting and poor writing for the two of them....however I'd still rate it in the top 3 of all time British comedies....
I love the series to death. It’s absurdity is true perfection.
This show is fantastic. .could watch it over and over and still laugh my head off
The most Irish part was when someone in village says to Ted, "I heard you're racist Father. How did you get into that sort of thing?"
Father Ted was one of the best!!
No One of the best! He was THE BEST priest in the country!
@@justyna8156 I grew up in Craggy Island - have you seen the "Father Ted" statue?
My favourite ever sitcom. Ultimate loveable nutters.
Love father ted-some of the best sight gags in television.

No show does cutaways better
I've seen the "what would you say to a cup of tea" scene 100 times and it still makes me laugh out loud every time.
I am from America and I love this comedy. Great group of performers!
Dermot Morgan is immortal. Taken from us far too soon.
Immortal? He's dead. You acknowledged that yourself.
The star that shines twice as bright, burns half as long

I did notice the three death cards in the first series, the three seasons, and the untimely death.
I don’t think I heard a tribute to Dermot Morgan? Was some of This recorded before he died? Maybe!
Couldn't have been. He died the day after shooting the last episode.
Pause it at 8:07. Ted looks like Puddleglum.
20:57 LOL
The narrator is Julia Swalhala.
Is she any relation to.....oh whats her name again.....ehhhhhh.....oh yeh....is she any relation to Julia Bradbury?
Ted?
They should have developed Frank Kelly's character more.and it wasn't necessary to make him look so gross.

Irish Humour not english
Knew some knob was going to correct him.
@@mhyaflynch He never said it was English - he was differentiating between the two....what an embarrassing twit you are
Dying to type "Irish humour" but liam21 check-mate.
The Father Jack character is not funny at all. Is that heresy (= belief that conflicts with established dogma)?
If you can't laugh at yourself you are a boring twit!
You're right....He's not funny......He's feckin hilarious
FECK OFF!
