You can always tell outstanding talent by how long they go for rather than these one hit wonders .All the greats like Pink Floyd Genesis Mike Oldfield and all the other great bands .They all wrote there own music and played it and thats talent .This is a fantastic version of Stratosphere .

Hell, I saw these guys in 1979 in Liverpool, didn’t sound as good as this back then, always loved this album.
outstanding version
One of the most remarkable characteristics of the new TD lineup is that they can take classics like this and without ruining the essence of what the originals were about, make them sound very here and now. See also how they rendered Rubycon on the album Particles. Considering some hugely unfortunate and soul-less versions made by older TD lineups, with robotic drum machines driven through the material and zero regard to the originals' subtleties, this new TD lineup is vastly superior in the treatment and re-imagining of the classics.

Agree totally - this is a wonderful incarnation of TD, full of power and skill, breathing new life into classics in a sensitive and faithful way - they haven't sounded so good since the 1980s, in my view.

I believe you are wrong my friend...of all the sounds going on here, sequenced, played live...whatever...the violin is being played. She is a wonderful musician...regardless of the video possibly being dubbed with an alternate version...she is playing the violin 🙂

Most TD shows are prerecorded, according to the late Edgar Fröse to prevent accidents. It's still the result of their creativeness.

Been following them since 1975, have about 20 vinyls and as many CD's, was lucky enough to see them in 82 in Melbourne. So glad they have gone back to the early TD style of music, hated that period they had those pot bashing, look at me non male members (No, I'm not a male chauvinist pig but they just did not suit TD).

Oh dear! Again - bog standard tic-a-tic sequencing with no progression or bridging. And like with all modern synth players - it's like they stretch one note for all its worth. Can no-one mess around with sequencers any more, as they used to do. It's rather like listening to a car idling instead of revving! And please let loose some moogie type solo riffs - just let rip.
