The TM-CLKL will provide the most direct route between the Northwest New Territories and Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macao Bridge (HZMB), the Airport and North Lantau and also an alternative route to the Airport.
The Northern Connection of TM-CLKL will connect Tuen Mun Area 40 with the HZMB Hong Kong Port (HKP) via a sub-sea tunnel. The Southern Connection connects the Hong Kong Port and North Lantau on viaducts.
