- Edman degradation is a a method used for the sequencing of peptide/protein. In this method the peptide is allowed to react with edmans reagent under mild alkaline conditions. The edmans reagent reacts with
the N terminal amino acid and forms a complex. This complex is then cleaved from the peptide and separated by chromatography or electrophoresis. The method can be repeated several times to find the sequence of the peptide.
Awesome video! Short and efficient
brilliant way of teaching. Thank you Sir.
Short and sweet, thanks!
Nice,very good explanation
Superb video 👍❤️
very good explanation i loved it
Increíble videooo. Se entiende perfectamente. Muchas gracias!!
Thanks for share! Great explanation
please make a video on illumina sequencing
Thanks so much for your help
Great content. Thank you for share
Why is it that you can do only upo to 30 aminoacids?
You are great sir❤
After N -terminal amino acid is detached why not next amino acid also react with pitc at the same time ?
I think that is possible because of the change in the pH conditions. The aminoacid is labeled in the alkaline media, and just cleaved in the acid.
Thank You u explain well
Short and efficient
Oh my goodness! I wonder how many people watching this has even used (or maintained) one of these beasts? I love the smell of R2 in the morning... it smells like victory!
