Once again, you've impressed me with how simple you put things into words... and believe me, i really need simple right now. Awesome job, and thank you
Man, I'm damn serious with what I said. You really are smooth in your teaching. I am two months away from being a penny shy of a half dollar, and due to a severe head injury I suffered a stroke -- quite a while back. This has been my dream, to learn about how to make beautiful dancers, and you have been my greatest teacher thus far. You really are awesome, and I sincerely thank you for taking the time to make such beautiful videos.
Randy Day firstly, I'm incredibly sorry about your accident. And you're so very welcome ^_^ I'm very glad it's helped you. Your encouraging words rock ❤❤
One of the very few people who actually add the hair for a follow along thanks because not all hair works the same in MMD. And one of the hardest parts about doing physics is eater adding a body or adding a bone because I can not see that tiny dot too well unless I zoom in alot.
since this is a old video i probably wont get a response but, Whenever I play the physics the veil twirls and glitches into itself and flys above the head
Can you do one for a dress or skirt since the legs been going through the dress. I've been told that its the bones are physics but I can't find a tutorial
I kinda wish someone would make a video on how to properly build a skeleton or apply weights to a basic looking human model but I haven't seen any video anywhere. This is the closest video i found that kinda sorta pointed me in the direction. I recycled a skeleton from another model and rigged my own mesh with it but it tears in multiple places when it dances. It would be great if I could export a mesh with a skeleton because I think the interface for building a skeleton with PMXE is very counter intuitive.
it's possible you forgot to connect something or a bone was down where it shouldn't be. also, sorry for the late reply. youtube doesn't like to tell me when i get notifications
It's kind of unrelated, but, how do you change the properties of bones?, like, say, to change them from physics bones, into articulation bones. It's kinda been bugging me a lot.
Sorry for the late response. You may have already figured it out by now. I'm usually pretty busy, so it's hard to reply quickly sometimes! Anyway, you should just be able to do that in the bone tab. www.deviantart.com/mmdyesbutterfly/art/PMD-Xeditor-Bones-Tutorial-328083081 That's a pretty great bone tutorial that may help! :D
Can you help me? I see the dot and i did exactly what you taught but i can't move it. It stay right there and then no matter how many times i try to move that red dot, it just stay at same place the whole time? Can you tell me why? :'(
When I first watched this I found it a bit overwhelming. I got the first but but then got lost. I played around with things for a week or so and came back to it and it all made sense. Is there a way to delete the weights to redo them?
Sure! I'll try to explain through typing, but if you need more help, I can make a video! ^_^ So, first, PMX. On the PMXView box, underneath where it says file, edit, view, and info, you will see Select: V F BN BDY J From Select: V F BN BDY J uncheck all of them but BDY. BDY means body, which is your physics. The model should have a bunch of green, yellow, orange, maybe purple and blue tube things. Next, go to the PMX Editor box. Underneath file, edit, view, and info, you will see more tabs labeled info, vertex, face material, bone, morph, display pane, body, joint, and soft body. From that list, you want to go to the Body tab. On the left, you will see this: two boxes of color, a number, colon, GI, a straight, and some text. That's the area you want to be in. Go down the list and click on each one, seeing what belongs to what if you cannot read the text. The text is usually in Japanese. When you click on each thing in the list, a physics part will highlight on the model. Sometimes it is a bit hard to see, so if you cannot see it, skip it and come back. Once you find out the one you want, simply right click and delete or press the DEL button on the keyboard. The physics should be permanently deleted. If you're using PMD, it's not completely different. On PMDView, do what you did on PMXView. Under the file, edit, view, and info, you see: Sel V M B P J. From Sel V M P J, unclick them all but the P. That stands for physics. After that go to the PMD box. Again, same thing with PMX. You will see file, edit, and view. Underneath that, you see GE, VR, ---, MA, BON, IK, FA, GRP, ENGL, Toon, PH, Joint. In that list, go to PH. That stands for physics. In PH, the box looks the same as it does in PMX. Again, the process is the same. Click and find which you want. Either right click and delete or click DEL on the keyboard. I hope that helped! ^_^
Thank you really much! i made bulletproof vest bones and it stops prelocate thru body! ;D now i can use chara for vmd and wont see her belly or hips again :)
I dont think you need to weight all the pony tail vertex to hair0, each hari bone only need to weight its neighbour. Because when hair0 is moving, all its children gonna to move
funny how I memorized the steps but can't do the same with math lol anyways thankssss this isss really helpful for those pips who can't use PMXE (meh I'm referring to miself HAHAHAHAHA)
Once again, you've impressed me with how simple you put things into words... and believe me, i really need simple right now. Awesome job, and thank you
Randy Day omg thank you so much ❤❤

Loved it, thanks a lot! Brief and straightforward tutorials like these are what we all need!
Thank you 😊
The best tutorial I've seen so far for this subject. Thank you a lot.
I'm trying to do this for a tail.
The tail's just dropping to the floor and rolling around. I really do not know what I did wrong..
It's 5 AM wtf am I doing

Of course! Currently I am sick, but I'll try to get it up asap!
In the meantime, make sure physics are actually on on MMD itself
did you figure it out? i'm having the same issue
do the rigid body into the leg bones, or it wont colide

Hey, i know this comment is a old one, but have you figured out how to with a model? I need a bit of guidance.
What do you do about shaky hair physics ? And physics going through the face?
I did everything in the tutorial and the hair that I am editing keeps plopping down
same omg
Hopefully this helps me fix a model I have that's missing a 2nd spine bone
You can download the plugin for PMXEditor named SemiStandard Bones. I use it and it's really helpful.
The bones keep falling out of the hair and taking the hair with it what do I do??
So i have a problem so i did everything you did but instead it all falls to the floor what do i do about that
it's possible you forgot to connect something or a bone was down where it shouldn't be. also, sorry for the late reply. youtube doesn't like to tell me when i get notifications
aaa can you help me please?? the last bone (the invisible one)'s physics keep bouncing around while the other physics keep shaking...?
do you have them too close together or too far apart?
It's kind of unrelated, but, how do you change the properties of bones?, like, say, to change them from physics bones, into articulation bones.

Thanks for the help! but i have a question, How i remove bones?
love it. you made it easy and simple to understand. thank you. 🥰🥰🥰
I’m trying to make a ragdoll, so can you make a tutorial for that
if the model is not humanoid, the method is still the same, right?
hey ik u prob wont answer but after do u save it as save as and can u resize the hair too will it still work?
It should!
When I first watched this I found it a bit overwhelming.
I got the first but but then got lost.
I played around with things for a week or so and came back to it and it all made sense.
Is there a way to delete the weights to redo them?
i just got done rigging it but it crashes mmd for some reason
when i load it in mmd
i dont have thoes extra bone things.....
I’m trying to make this for a ragdoll
Thx for the help
Can you help me? How do you delete physics? I really need help on this.. I tried looking at other tutorials but i can't find any..

When I hit start, I see no black dots.
