As someone who lives in New Orleans, hearing Colleen talk about the building she's referencing is so surreal. It's been months and that building was only just demolished, and workers' bodies had still been lying in there for months after the initial accident,thanks to our local government. It's so depressing driving by and seeing it; it's almost like a physical manifestation of grief.
It was so amazing hearing Colleen talk in such a real way. It felt way more personal and interesting. I think she should continue night time talks. Something to listen to before bed. Hey, so I used to work at a boba place and the way you make it is great! BUT... if you want to make it even better, you could soak the boba in half simple syrup (1 pt sugar, 1 pt water) & half brown sugar. Also, classic milk tea is literally just black tea, milk, and sweetener if you don't have the powder mixture. You can make it with any tea or matcha powder🥰

I cannot exPRESS how much Colleen is helping me right now saying "it's only the fun moments you will remember," for so many reasons. I am homeschooled right now, and we moved to the Virginia mountains so I don't have a lot of friends here. I've been debating whether or not I should go to the public school here, because I've had such terrible experiences with public schools. But at the same time, I really want to experience high school. Collen talking about only remembering the good parts is making me realize that maybe I should take a chance, and go to school regardless of the hard times I could have because the good parts are what I will remember.

Love your tour description. Exactly what I went through touring for 10 years. If anyone thinks you're complaining they can go kick rocks. Just because we were fortunate to tour doesn't invalidate our hardship stories. That's part of the fun. We flipped our van in Tupelo Mississippi and it's still my best tour story.
Love the heart to heart. That's a great perspective to have. Sometimes it's hard to focus on the positive in the hard times, but it's always there. There's always something good that can come from the bad.
Definitely true about tour life being hard!!! Even with the stress -it is incredible and an amazing opportunity for sure! But as a professional skater with Disney on ice .... totally agree!!! You have a lot of adventures, but you give up a lot of stability, family time, and quality rest to basically live on the road!! Again experiences of a lifetime but definitely not as easy and fun as some people think! It’s still a job, and in fact, you can’t just “go home” at the end of the day or take a weekend off. I love tour life but I do think a lot of people assume it’s not a real job or that’s it’s just a vacation all the time. 🙈
I traveled for three months for DCI (music thing) and felt literally everything you talked about during your tour. I remember HATING sleeping on a bus, on a lumpy air mattress and eating bus-truck food for three months. But I look back at performing for thousands of people and making great friends and remember how much fun it was. Thank you for sharing this part of touring 😌

I 10000% agree with the whole murder documentary thing 😂 I could watch Bailey Sarian’s videos while eating breakfast and I’m not phased at all, but movies scare me way too much. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that scripted movies are just a lot more dramatic and vivid 😂 and most of the time more gory. While cold cases and documentaries just break down facts.
