started playing last sunday, been grinding steve for a lot of hours and though i had gotten the grip of the character a bit, this video made me change my mind lol. Thank you for this, i’ll definitely be using all of this. ❤️
Very good video, honestly helped me remember and learn things I should keep in mind even though I've been playing Steve for years Btw some of these combos you show off are dope, can't believe I never seen em before
Note There is an ongoing bug atm with B1>Flicker, while it does say -1 on block it actually cannot block. You have to flicker cancel or commit to FLK moves.
For anyone that is trying all these combos, i believe he forgot to put to (hold back) after df1 (2,1) for the [64 damage] combo at 9:33. This leaves you in flicker so you can cancel with ducking 1 faster and connect the hit before they fly away. -Edit : If you're practicing back3 combos and it doesn't hit the first time, side step towards their chest for it to hit every time. Any character pointing their chest mostly at you will get hit every time (or if they're big characters likes bears and Jack). **Law/Raven are exceptions*
excellent guide man, I'm proud to see you always improving the quality and practicality of your videos, soon it will be one of the best channels in the industry (it's already become one for me kkkkkk)
I think the issue with steve is he dont have 15 frame launcher and most importantly despite his nickname being "counter punching paragon" he barely has any viable CH launcher to use like his df2...ofc he still has his infamous b1 but too much of his CH tool got nerfed to the ground despite his main gameplan is to fish out CH from ur opponent. I mean imagine having a nickname like that but have less CH launcher than azucena lol. Even bryan still has more CH launcher despite a lot were nerfed to be less useful in tk8 :')
so true they have been nerfing him for years now.. they should give back DF2 combo with less damage Even with the combo this attack will be fair n balanced cuz it will not have the homing properties like tekken 7 season 1 and 2 there are a lot of characters who have good ch launchers like bryan f3 0 to +1 on block..Victor 1+2 which comes out at i15 and is -8 on block..you cannot even parry it as it is a weapon attack
0:45 the words "but it's Steve You Know :')" got me 😂... it's like massage for harada and bamco to give steve i15 launcher punish 😂. i mean you need i15 launcher for punishing RA or -15 move string, but since his debut on T4 he still remain same, even worse 😂😂😂
no you can extend the weave if you do side step into weave holding weave is only for weaving into duck and then launch like I did vs devil jin weave into duck f2 launch is also a good round starter as many people just begin to mash as the round starts..
hey i just wanted to ask are there any wall combos other than 2,1/f+2,1 into gatling rush that are worth using? In tekken 7 gatling rush was hard and sometimes inconsistent so i used 2,1/f+2,1,b SWY 1 or LWV 1,1 DF+1+2 but they made gatling super easy here so i dont know
@@mwkan772 thanks for answer iam disappointed that there is really only 1 wall combo i wish the "new wall ender" f+2,2,1+2 would start with different input so there was a reason to use it to solve the old problem that steve wall combos start with 2 so if you wall splat from far away and run in you get wr2 instead of 2,1/f2,1 but that would require developers to put in effort which they clearly dont want to with steve in this game
PAB needs to launch on normal hit and be -20 on block. Even though its slow AF. He literally has no reason for you to crouch. I wouldn't even mind if they made it i23 and gave it a CH transition into clinch.
Think lionheart as a whole needs a buff, youre way too vulnerable when you transition into it. Also i feel the guard break move should be more plus and give you a sonic fang rather than just a 2,2 or a b+1,2 or sonething.
I'm playing Leroy for the moment, I'm Ruler rank but I don't think I'm the best with him yet. I'd like to see how you handle him and the combos you would do.or strong moves you use He's apparently not strong. but very easy to play I think he's ok, but I understand if this is not your character. in short we need a leroy guid
check out my Paul All in 1 guide if you haven't It will help you and other tips to get better with paul is to stay behind and utilize his keep out options..but don't be predictable
@@mwkan772 your guide is great but what can be confusing to someone trying new characters: b1 (no explanation about f3 crouch cancel for followup) FLK b2 (how do I go into flicker?) sorry I don't remember any law player you mentioned haha can you tell how many hours before we played? also there are a lot of NEMESISz online so don't get fooled by someone xD..make sure to match my prowess
This guide kinda booty in terms of being misleading. Qcf1 is no where near one of the best heat engagers. You effectively lose your turn when it's blocked because you can't do anything out of flk at -3 if your opponent understands frame data and chooses to jab. You're forced into canceling the stance at that point. Alb 2 has far more range and is also -3 on block but you don't actually lose your turn when alb 2 is blocked. We're just going to ignore the safe power crushes that have more range than qcf1 and also heat engage for the sake of the guide though of course. Plus this is 2 months old, and Steve's been patched up a bit since then idk why TH-cam recommended this to me. The one thing this guide would help do is make the average online Steve player not so profoundly stupid
haha I have to explain why his key moves are good.. these typing take a lot of time..I can just write the key moves instead of explaining why they are good but I make the guide as helpful and as simple as I can so that you guys can understand
one of the best guides i have seen so far. long time tekken fan here. from T3. none like main man swe or spaguetti made anything like this. THANKS.
really appreciate the kind words bro^^
@@mwkan772in the end you forgot to mention pkb 1121 strong gives guaranteed db2 as well✌🏻
Of all the Steve Fox guides, your guide is the BEST. You explain everything and provide awesome combos. Thank you again!
Really glad my video helped you^^
Seeing appreciating comments like yours further motivates me to make more guides for you guys :D
Thanks a lot ^^
Great guide! Petition to rename Steve’s stance to Loin Heart
Sure
gonna spend all week studying this steve is my life
Wow a lot to practise here. Great guide with zero fluff. Thank you! 🥊
Glad it was helpful^^
appreciate the guide ur the best steve player i know, massive respect
thanks bro^^
steve's ws2 is actually i13 now, so it can be used as a -13 punish
oh I never knew about it..
thanks for correcting me ^^
Very informative video... waiting for other guides too...
Thank you so much^^

How do you cancel the flicker stance
@@ChubChub4000 input db, b similar to duck cancel
B1 into flicker is Jab punishable i think it's a bug
i really liked it, i missed the wall break and floor break combos but its a really complete guide thanks
Cool guide, very in-depth and easy to follow

Thank you for spreading the knowledge through these videos, you're awesome man 👏
My pleasure^^
Please stop using Bryan as a demo, you are teaching them how to punish me…
good😁
Making them strong against you will ultimately make you strong😅❤
😂
editing tipp: pls not let the music restart on every clip
11:48 ahh yes,the '' get kick launched by the guy who cant properly kick '' combo, absolute disrespect
I was using him in T7 was looking to get back into boxing after learning Reina, will dual screen tt'his video while oracticing thanks ! :D
Good Luck ^^

He doesnt need 15f launcher but he does need a good ch mid launcher like df2
Always enjoy a guide in which Horang gets beat up 😂😂
What were the inputs for that wall combo at 6:08 ?
Was stuck in Destroyer rank, watched this now I'm Mighty Ruler
I think at 15:00 Steve can also do PKB UF2 after d1+2 to get a tornado
You can also spam lion heart to anger the opponent, tested and approved
Great guide bro🙏
what do you mean by hold? I tried holding both buttons and neither get the purple launcher
Please do one for Hwoarang!
Quick Question. Are you gonna make all in 1 guide to the characters you only play or every character?
Edit: Disguised toast needs to see this
if your execution is good you can use qcf1 heat dash to whiff punish like steve t7 rage drive
it's still very slow compared to sonic fang
for combo at 11:15 u can use fff2 for +1 dmg, useless but good to know
great guide
This guide is fantastic, thank you so much!!!!!!!

haha so true
Might be a dumb question, during some combos you put f3, hold, 1. What is hold exactly ?
f3 means duck
if you hold f3 it means extended duck
@@mwkan772 but I just need to hold F right?
oh nvm found out it's both buttons. Had no idea it did a different move!
7:59 you forgot to write duck forward and then duck cancel. I wish it was db,b like other stances. Unfortunately it's not!!
Does holding the weave buttons make it go further to the sides
no
you can extend the weave if you do side step into weave
holding weave is only for weaving into duck and then launch like I did vs devil jin
weave into duck f2 launch is also a good round starter as many people just begin to mash as the round starts..
what is "loin heart"
Can I wait for an update after the PKB new tech?

this is the most damaging wall combo in tekken 8
and it's also easy so you should do it
@@mwkan772 thanks for answer iam disappointed that there is really only 1 wall combo i wish the "new wall ender" f+2,2,1+2 would start with different input so there was a reason to use it to solve the old problem that steve wall combos start with 2 so if you wall splat from far away and run in you get wr2 instead of 2,1/f2,1 but that would require developers to put in effort which they clearly dont want to with steve in this game

any way to get consistent with the df1 int 2 1 extension? are there any moves you can replace it with
You can always try the good ol reliable f2 2
Think lionheart as a whole needs a buff, youre way too vulnerable when you transition into it.
Also i feel the guard break move should be more plus and give you a sonic fang rather than just a 2,2 or a b+1,2 or sonething.
So are iPKB and iFLK actually instant? Like it doesnt take any frames to transition into them?
you can buffer them
Amazing guide and refresher , only comment is , damn is the music repeating annoying as hell :D
I hope Devil Jin is next
will make a pool
you guys will decide^^

Isnt df 2 1 12 frames not 13?

Ngl that duck cancel is hard for pad. Seem like something easier to do on stick
sad thing is with the great name of CH king, in tekken 8 his counter hit game is less devastating than that coffee girl smh
What does "ALB" stand for?
Quick spin or 3+4
thanks
No problem^^
