Hi I am really hesitating between the jm-sg45 and sjm-sg45 ; i saw you did you try the 2 and do think the sjm sound and specs are worth spending double the price ? thanks!
I don't like overly trebly guitars but this Sigma, although sounding very nice, lacks a little in the high frequensies. A good J-45 sounds more balanced. But for the price you can't beat the Sigma!
Hello. I have a Sigma SDM-18 that I imported to the US from a guitar store in England a couple of years ago. It has the Sigma brand written on the headstock in the same style and font as Martin Guitar Co. Is the SJM-SG45 there made by the same Sigma company? Thanks....... By the way, that guitar sounds incredible!
You could take an actual gibson j-45 and put a different label on the headstock and people would tell you that the guitar is ''j-45ish but nothing sounds like a real one.'' Nobody wants to admit that other guitar manufactures can make the mythical j-45. It's probably coming from the people that bought one. That's my take.
You're right, I don't own one. I have however played many j45s. Some of them were amazing, some just ok. I'm not saying the sigma is the same, but I'm also saying that a j-45 is in fact made out wood that's been shaped and carved a certain way, not fairy dust and alchemy.
@@agentofkariosd1116 well first off I Don't believe sigma uses nitro , that's already a big difference . Second , many people aim to believe that you can do as good as Gibson or Martin building guitars much cheaper but why do the big brands still bother ? They should start building J45 or D18 , D28 etc... with lower grade woods materials ,skip the nitro finish process etc...? Take the best copy of a Vuitton' hand bag made in asia , it does the job as well but it is still not a Vuitton . I'd rather save up and buy the real thing to made by American people .
Many say it's only a strummer, but I fingerpick mine exclusively. The nut width and neck shape are perfect for it.
You caracterize the guitar perfectly. I have bought it a year ago. As you say it: the beautiful tones are all over the fretboard.
Tried this guitar must admit was surprised how good it was.

I like your sound review, can you review the Guild DS-240 ?
Mogany or Rosewood?
I close my eyes and listen to the music 🎵🎶 and think to myself I'm listening to Paul Simon.
My gosh I can't find one at all
I ordered mine from Merchant City Music Glasgow Scotland

Roger, it is made by the same Sigma company.
To be fair Sigma Guitars are all built in Cort factories as far as I know, but value for money is great still!

Seem like you don't own a real Gibson J45... 😂 I have owned 4 J45 and this sigma doesn't sound like a J45 ..too trebly . Period.
