@@Skhal I wouldn't go that far. I think in some of his other videos he doesn't sound as johnny-y as in this one, and as someone else above me said, it's always nice to have more 1v1 content. Also, Johnny is the most iconic 1v1 caster, so it's kind inevitable that anybody else who probably has watched him for years will pick up the style, even if not intentionally copycat-ing. I just found it funny ^^

Joreuz plays way more 1s then people think. Just doesn't take it serious. He uses 1s like freeplay for mechanics rather than grinding. Very fun player to watch do 1s though. Very carefree yet precise player

Falcon is made of 3 insanely good individual players who fit well together in a fast mechanical system where as moist seem to mesh better in overall team play. More mechanical bds style. Think Jor is just focused on enjoying himself now

There aren't any air dribble bump avoidance training packs, so players should savour every opportunity with an air dribble bumper, to learn how to defend against this attack for future games.
Also cringe is subjective, to begin with. However I think it is understandable to find bumps and air dribble bumps boring to watch, and especially the latter "lame" since it is commonly believed that there is no way to defend it if done properly. But on the contrary, I have seen impressive air dribble bumps and fun demo and bump plays, as well as boring regular playstyles. Ultimately I think it comes down to the individual player and playstyle and how much they feel like they deserve to win based on their skill level.

A Breezi is a Musty, but when you hear Musty, you never think Breezi. It's like calling a square a rectangle. Sure, it is one, but it's more precise to call it a square. Either way, I won't call anyone wrong for calling a Breezi a musty. The finish is more important most of the time

Plus, it's not like Ayyjayy is playing a Best of Series in ranked, meaning taking individual games from Joreuz and Trk and all these other high level players are much easier.

For the freestyle community there is a difference. Skating I think is more like freestyling. The purpose of the shot and the end result of it from a competitive perspective is the same. Saying a Breezi is a Musty in a freestyle environment where flair is of importance is just wrong.
I just feel like the logic to win this battle should favor the viewers, and frankly it’s more interesting if there are more variety. It gets us interested in what type of mechanics exist, and we learn that the stuff these players do is not random, but actually carefully practiced shots

Wow, honestly just a weird series. Kinda lucky for me as a EU andy that Joreuz won because this way it doesn't seem like EU copium, but Joreuz looked really bad for most of the series. Just off on most of his touches, impatient, going for loads of prejumps where they weren't at all necessary. That he still somehow managed to win this series shows both how talented he is at 1's and - sorry - how much Ayyjayy choked this away. Because a top form Ayyjayy should quite handily beat a Joreuz playing this way. (Did I offend both camps this way? I dunno. The chat was horrifying by the way, how do you cope with this?)

ayyjayy surely played VERY well but i've seen joreuz play a good bit better than this many times. Like johnnyboi says: highest peak level of 1s i've ever seen is joreuz and i completely agree. I'd like to see joreuz actually grind hard for once (his hours are way, way less than most pro's)

A Breezi is a Musty, but when you hear Musty, you never think Breezi. It's like calling a square a rectangle. Sure, it is one, but it's more precise to call it a square. Either way, I won't call anyone wrong for calling a Breezi a musty. The finish is more important most of the time

@@dennisconroy8839 People always put words in people's mouths and it's frustrating. Being able to queue a lot more frequently is a huge plus because you can carry that momentum game after game. Plus, it's not like Ayyjayy is playing a Best of Series in ranked, meaning taking individual games from Joreuz and Trk and all these other high level players are much easier.

He switches from talking about sets to some other kind of composition, I kinda see what he was going for, like setup + breezi rotation + musty flick are all included in Breeziflicks, but that's not true, they're all part of a Breezi flick, they don't each individually belong to set the of Breezi flicks

Musty flicks are all flicks with X properties, therefore a Breezi is a Musty. It's absolutely not about what other mechanics may or may not be involved, what a dumb argument. For the freestyle community there is a difference. Skating I think is more like freestyling. The purpose of the shot and the end result of it from a competitive perspective is the same.
Saying a Breezi is a Musty in a freestyle environment where flair is of importance is just wrong.
I just feel like the logic to win this battle should favor the viewers, and frankly it’s more interesting if there are more variety. It gets us interested in what type of mechanics exist, and we learn that the stuff these players do is not random, but actually carefully practiced shots

Wow, honestly just a weird series. Kinda lucky for me as a EU andy that Joreuz won because this way it doesn't seem like EU copium, but Joreuz looked really bad for most of the series. Just off on most of his touches, impatient, going for loads of prejumps where they weren't at all necessary. That he still somehow managed to win this series shows both how talented he is at 1's and - sorry - how much Ayyjayy choked this away. Because a top form Ayyjayy should quite handily beat a Joreuz playing this way.

Joreuz sometimes completely improvises and does some crazy shit. There are times when he actually goes for a proper setup. Istg the dude just doesn't try on some of them while Ayyjayy sweats the setups. You see what I'm saying? At least kind of?
