Currently for my Python MK II, I am using four 3C (gimbaled) Frag cannons and two 2D (gimbaled) beam lasers. I have all Frag cannons engineered with double shot and screening shell. I have both beam lasers engineered with long range and flow control. Yes, I am still using the gimbaled training wheels.
@@CMDR_CWolfxUK I added the thermal vent experimental effect on my beam lasers. I could only add it on one of them because if both had them, I would freeze myself to death. Thermal vent is THAT good!
Great Video. I have two issues with stacking Assassination missions; If multiple missions are in the same system; the targets tend to show up at the same location making it a greater challenge. Some missions bounce you around multiple systems before you can actually engage the target. I've decided to just stick with Massacre missions for now.
All good. I find that it depends what mood I am in. Worst I had was I stacked 3 high level ones and ended up with 2 condas and a vette all turn up together! Luckily they were shooting each other at the same time. The Chieftain I was in finished on about 15% hull.
I used to do these missions all the time and I love it when it's just a unidentified signal source or the pirate themselves just comes and interdicts you when you show up to the right system... But lately I've been seeing these missions where you have an obligatory planetary scan job you have to do first to get the target location and there's always results in getting a bounty with some faction... Are you guys using some method to do that easily asking for a friend.
@@xblackdogrunsx You're talking about the URGENT kill missions that require you to travel to a surface base to scan a beacon to learn the location of your target. These are different than the regular assassin missions that send you to a system to find your target in space. You can ignore the URGENT type missions if you want. Just read the description of the mission first before accepting it.
I want the Python Mk2, but i'll wait till it's available in game. I currently have 3 Pacifiers (G5 overcharged/screening shell) and 2 gimballed beam lasers (G5 overcharged/thermal vent) on my Krait mk2. The Pacifiers pack a big punch, but it takes some practice to land a good hit with them. I have two more pacifiers stored, enough to fit out the Python Mk2. The Kill warrant scanner is tied to the first fire button with the beam lasers.
I'm curious Commander, what's your combat ranking? I haven't seen a novice mission target in a long time. Most of mine are dangerous to elite. The higher ranked targets tend to be tougher to take down in general and make for a better ship test. Have you tried taking the ship to a haz RES?
I am Deadly, got about 7% to go for Elite. It WAS weird seeing Novice, but then that was the thing - I went for the ultimate power trip, see how quick a novice would pop. If I go Haz res then the lowest I see is Dangerous. I only tend to target Deadly and Elite though as the last few % needed don't happen if I kill lower level stuff, just wastes ammo. I play for fun, nuking a low powered npc for the power trip is sometimes a good way to nuke a day's frustration.
Only the one, lack of materials. I plan on removing the Frags and making it all Pacifiers, 3 with Incendiary. The build is listed at the end and in the description, here it is in case you missed it: s.orbis.zone/o3_z I realise, looking at the video Build part it is a little confusing. Was meant to say Class 3 x1 Frag, Incendiary. .. instead it says 3 Frag, so could be 3 of them! Thanks for pointing that out, missed it completely.
Agreed, I was in a rush and did not notice how low level the assassination targets were going to be! Hence the title. Video was just for TH-cam fun, nothing too serious.

Nothing wrong with gimbals - DPS means nothing if it don't hit!
@@CMDR_CWolfxUK FYI, I changed the engineering on my two 2D beam lasers to Short Range.
More Zapping Power! I do like short range blasting.

Hahaha, it is rather useful
Novice NPCs can be killed if you breathe too hard 😂😂
Hahhah, yup!

Was gonna reply but beaten to it!
Spot on.
Yeah the "fsss fsss" frags sound always was a pet peeve for me. The guardian shards got it right though.
Aye. Wish I could swap them out for my shotgun sound
youll switch to mandalay in no time.
Nice vid, the Mk2 is a lot of fun to fly. If you have chance get that kill warrant scanner engineered down to 2 seconds, it's a massive QOL upgrade.
That's a good idea. In fact, stupidly enough, I do have one already, just forgot!
@@CMDR_CWolfxUK 🤣
I agree it's a real money maker. I simply added the engineered kill warrant scanner to my two 2D beam laser fire group.
Yeah, a lot of people forget the value of a kws

That sounds a good mix! I will have a new vid as soon as I get the chance. And yes, Pacifiers take aiming!
Someone needs some cash 😂😂
Ever try in a high cz with this build?
@falcon911gamer8 Yup, even managed to roast those pesky Spec Ops. Well, until ran out of ammo.
cannons are awesome as long as you have the skills for it which i unfortunately dont
For me it is a range thing, I keep forgetting I need to be right up to them.
Hm, what was the threat level on those missions please?
Hah, barely anything. Hense the title.

how many of the PACs and frags had the incendiary?

@@CMDR_CWolfxUK ok, my bad, I noticed it now, 4 PACs (1 incendiary) + 2 frags (1 corr).
It's fine, I am still learning the best way to convey things. Thanks for watching, more to come!
but you got no any points for kill of a novice if you are deadly...just money
