Almost everyone misunderstands the kindness of the sparkle, she is helping the fireflies avoid the real third death and creating the fireworks, and the plot says that the silver wolf commissioned her. ...
Personally, for me my only issue with it is that I feel as if she didn't really earn such a moment for me. It felt like such a sudden drastic turn for her character. But hey, if it works for you, that's fine :)
In my opinion it's very sweet both of Silver Wolf and Sparkle. Silver Wolf care about Firefly and even sharing the so called script to Sparkle. Sparkle can just deny and leak the script for fun but no she accept the mission.
@@GoDogChain Personally because she from elation it's works really well, she came to penacony with a purpose of helping firefly avoided her third real death but in the process, she kinda helping each important character in penacony as a hobby (like aventurine and sunday) and make everyone including us confused and panic whenever we see her because she act as a final bad guy for fun when in reality she just doing her job for SW
@@GoDogChainI mean if you go rewatch 2.0 and 2.1 it carries through? She was also the one who helped make sure Firefly could experience her "first death" in Penacony and discover the deeper dreamscape. And she was the one who used Silver Wolf's script to help Aventurine and the rest figure out all the stuff going on with the Order. It's a matter of recontextualizing her actions, but she was still being consistent.
I've said it before, I'll say it again... SPARKLE IS THE MOST HONEST ONE IN PENACONY! And now you can add "wingman" to that as well. That's why I love her!
I think the thing about Sparkle is that she just does whatever she’s find the most fun at the moment, elation and all that- so she’s equally capable of good or bad kind of like a chaotic neutral character. Not to mention it’s been hinted at the whole time that’s she been helping- she led TB and Firefly to the child’s dream where they encountered sleepie- ensuring firefly’s first safe death. Then she helped Aventurine figure out the truth about everything- then she was taking up the role of Robin while she was gone. Then she got to troll everyone in true chaotic fashion with the buttons And now she has access to Silver Wolf’s Script in return- having access to a whole lot of future knowledge? You just know she’s going to have more fun with that then with anything bad she could have done in Penacony
I started Hsr last week and didn't expected the story to be this good. And the boss fights during story are just epic with the banger music. And damn the suspense in Penacony was on another level.
LONG COMMENT HERE WE GOOO - 1:15 Did we actually live through the events of Penacony twice though? The way I saw it, we arrive at real world Reverie, Asdana (which is already partially a dream because of memoria leaks, but we don't know it yet) -> we go to the Normal Dreamworld, we fuck around in the Normal Dreamworld (and other areas), plot happens -> we fight Sunday, we get locked in Ena's dream -> everything from Sunday's fight to Black Swan pointing out the Misha inconsistency is the classic "it was all just a dream" -> we break out of Ena's dream and fight Sunday for real in the Normal Dreamworld -> we wake up in real world Reverie, Asdana (which may or may not still be partially a dream). So, we live through the Penacony story once, and Ena's dream is like a side branch of the timeline (starting from Sunday's fight), and once we break out we return right back to where we left the main timeline. - I'm so happy for how Oti's model turned out. I was worried that they made Mikhail's model unique because he's dead and doesn't need animations, but nope, they can making living talking NPCs unique too. (Genshin when?) - It's so nice to finally hear Ratio speak normally now that his act since 2.0 is over 💕 - Argenti's muted on the Express too. Maybe the va was unavailable or smth? 🤔 At least we'll get to hear his Express lines eventually. - me picking "next time we meet we won't be strangers" because that's what i genuiely wanted to say and later seeing the Acheron CGs floating around the internet tagged as spoilers: hm? when did those happen? are those super good fanarts or smth? *sigh* choices have consequences - And yeah, Sparkle was helping move the plot forward all along (not unlike Sampo on Jarilo), she just did it in the bitchiest, most aggravating way possible :D Tbh Penacony as a whole was a planet of oscar performances (remember how many ppl fell for "Aventurine is just some manipulative asshole"/"Ratio sold Aventurine for a corn chip"/"Firefly is just a cute waifu"?), Sparkle's act just lasted the longest. (Also I love how 2 out of 2 playable Masked Fools so far pranked us with neutron bombs at some point)
Oh yeah I def appreciated the Old Oti model and was pleasantly surprised tbh :D I did find it sad that the entire Acheron thing was missable, like such a heartfelt and emotional moment could be mistakenly overlooked. Sharing that moment with her really took me back to my Hi3 memories. And yeah, the mask fools sure gotta get innovative with their neutron bombs or else that's all we're gonna be expecting when the next one shows up xD
@@GoDogChain I guess the Acheron thing works as intended, in a way. I only played like first few chapters of HI3, so I don't have the Raiden Emotional Attachment. HI3 fans, on the other hand, would be more likely to go for "I've met you before", and the Horned Mei CG would hold more meaning for them.

I'm surprised at how many people feel weird/surprised by Sparkle. She's the one character that has done literally nothing but help others since 2.0. Funny enough, it seems the "Fool's act" has worked so well people were unironically expecting her to be murderous monster, when she's probably been one of the most helpful 'actors' in Penacony's story. There was no 'turn' of character. Sparkle helped us (and others, like Aventurine) since the very beginning of 2.0
@@GoDogChain All of us, I guess. We were so busy all 2.0-2.3 waiting for her mask to fall, that we didn't really consider the alternative of her just being genuine lmao. Actually, wasn't she mostly an ass to Sunday, who ended up being the villain? She was mean to Aventurine, but also helped him time and again. Only to Sunday she would keep taunting and mocking him.
@@CrusesFear With Aventurine I think it was more of a teasing attitude, but yeah I agree with her tone towards Sunday. Given that she was told to plant the bombs, she probably was told how the entirety of the Penacony arc was supposed to play out to begin with.
@@GoDogChain Probably, yeah. Although I wonder to which degree the 'contract' was really Ellio. We attribute a lot of control to him, but I wonder if the whole "destiny's slave" means he knows certain things, but really cannot control to which degree. Like, maybe he knew about Firefly's 3 deaths, but nothing else. And, when comparing scripts, SW got worried and made a deal with Sparkle to try and help Firefly avoid any real harm. It's a theory to which I give some validity for a couple details we've seen lately, although I might be doing so MASSIVE reach. First, we saw in 2.3 how SW actually cares a lot about FF (the Hunters truly are a kind of odd family lol). And in Firefly's myriad celestia, we see Kafka go "ah... fireflies dancing among the stars" like she's somewhat surprised. That made me think Ellio might have literally only known "there's someone key to our plans we need to get, and I only know we can meet them at x system on y time, as we'll see a firefly dancing among the stars." It might be a gigantic reach, but it would explain why Ellio is presented as a slave to destiny, and not as someone in control of it, or as some sort of super seer. Maybe, like Acheron, he's blessed by an Aeon but it's a sort of pseudo-curse (since the Finality is super weird with the whole travelling towards the past). But I do like the more cute theory of this all being SW genuinely just wanting FF to be safe, rather than Ellio playing 5D chess and telling no one because 'reasons' haha. Sorry for the super text dump though lmao.
@@CrusesFear ooo I like this interpretation. I do feel like that's how it's playing out too, there is a script but it's left vague in a way that leaves for improvisation for each of the hunters because whatever they do still results in the next act that is destined to play. But once the finality giving orders to Elio starts ramping up or becoming more restrictive, that will be more problematic since actually "defying" the script is impossible.
i think the defusing was my favorite part lol I hope we get more detective-like stuff to do haha. I don't mind if it involves another Masked Fool either :P

About the dream theory - Something bad definitely happened because we never got an explanation as to why Trailblazer woke up crying in 2.0 after the warp jump. Some suspect that they cried because Firefly died. To me, I think this outcome makes sense because for what reason do we have to defy Elio's script (or destiny)? We’ve been going along this journey hearing about how we’re gonna change destiny but we don’t have the motivation to do so. I believe that Firefly is the catalyst that will drive Trailblazer into actually finding ways to go against the script. Firefly's death is set in stone unless someone changes it. We think that Sparkle's bomb was supposed to be the 3rd death, but it really wasn’t. She couldn’t have possibly defied fate so easily, and the only way it could’ve happen was in her dreams. If the Trailblazer sees how someone one close to them was unable to defy the script, I think they would be motivated to try and go against it. For writing reasons, FF needs to die for the MC to get that development. There is also a second reason why I think Firefly is dead. If the theories of Sunday becoming a Stellaron Hunter are true, then that explains why he was able to join. With Firefly gone, the SH will have an open seat for someone new to join.
Yeah because I personally found the ending for the whole sparkle bomb situation a bit too easy...almost cheesy to a certain extent. And now I'm scared to see what else they have planned.
@@gmoney9469 the only way to achieve that outcome is to find a way to change destiny. As it stands, the universe is doomed, and we're still strumming to the beat of the script. We haven’t changed anything yet. While that is a good motivation, it can’t possibly be the *only* motivation. As we go along this journey, we’ll encounter many people - some of whom will leave a mark on us. I find it hard to believe that we won’t meet any characters that will encourage us to push against fate. For character development reasons, I think it would be a reasonable route to take. Let’s take Robin for example. She wants to help people and have world peace. That in itself sounds great and all, but her drive to accomplish that dream is reinforced by the ones that she has met. What I’m trying to say is that we need to connect with people to reinforce our drive to achieve the goal of defeating Nanook.

When he grow up, he adopted little girl just like his fathers once did, sometime after that the IPC showed up and started sucking his homeplanet dry. He didn't like that so he and some other ppl created a rebelion group against the IPC. Sometime later he relised that he needs to kill higher-ups to put the end to all of this. When he was undercover at local IPC HQ he overheared that the IPC was gonna destroy his whole town via airstrike, he rushed back to the town to warn everyone, but it was to late. His town and farm destroyed, and everyone including his dauther were dead. The IPC told everyone that it was some natural disaster, but BH infiltrated Garden of Recollection to found the name of S.O.B. who gave this order. And guess who's name came up ? And that when he started walking on the path of the Hunt (Lan approves). As for his cyborg body, well, he needed more power to get his revenge so agreed to a very risky operation, needless to say he was lucky to survive it.
@@GoDogChain And BH got lucky to "ask" Adventurine for help, because there some info that Oswaldo Schneider was the one in charge of Sigonia gig. He knew that massacare was about to happen and he didn't send his people to prevent it, so maybe our boys will become BFF because of that.
