I’m so scared of what crap goes into most stuff sold as food that I eat mostly beef I cook myself (who knows what dreck the cattle were fed, even if they’re supposedly grass-fed) and cheese that doesn’t seem to be too processed.

I agree Applebee's was really good around 2000'ish, then quality dropped tremendously as they expanded to fast. That being said they have really tried to bring back the good food at a fair price...

Ten years ago, we didn’t really mind mass- produced chain restaurant food as much, and Applebee’s was just kind of existing.

I had bad food taste as a kid, but even I knew Applebee's was bad
Last time I was in an Applebees, maybe 15 years ago now, it was so disgusting (sticky table, dirty silverware) and the service so bad that we left before drinks were even served (which we waited 25minutes on and never got). Never been inside one since.
@@taradiane Same experience here, our local one lasted longer because of one person, a lady that ran the place like a pro and kept it going as long as she could before throwing the towel.
I always check in with him when a new food item is released.

I'll say this - I've seen these wings reviewed a few times now, by a few different people. Yours were the only ones that weren't a soggy, greasy, disgusting mess. Yours actually looked edible. So definitely the individual applebees plays a part in this as well.
The $11.99 price tag blew my mind, I’m from New Zealand and one of my favourite things when I went to the states was how cheap food was, since it was ridiculously expensive to eat out back home. Looks like it’s the other way around now.
Because of China Joe Biden. Gas went up 2 dollars in 7 months, bacon prices almost doubled, and inflation added another 10-15% tax, so even with the raises, our paychecks are smaller than 3 years ago 😂😂 and any non perishable boxed items have 30% less food in them thanks to these "so called" liberals, "actual" communist authoritarians.

Love your honesty. IDK if you already do this but a heated car cooler could help your reviews. Got one last year and it's amazing. More of a bag then a cooler but its stellar.
It sounds like a good idea. I use an insulated bag for refrigerated or frozen groceries and it’s a big help, so that seems worth a try.

I have eaten at Applebee’s twice a week for 17 years…..no kidding. I’m having these today. The best thing on their menu is the Bourbon Street Steak and the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. I think their boneless wings are pretty good too. The Beer Cheese and Pretzels are good. Thanks for this review.

Where I live the manager yells at customers. The staff tolls their eyes at you and it’s not worth it. I can see that rage driving .
Applebees is my wife and I's go to budget restaurant. Last week I had the Cajun blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was solid. I shy away from the oddball stuff. Their fries and onion rings are always the best.
It’s a solid restaurant but it can fluctuate between visits in quality. It depends on the kitchen staff at the time of the visit.

Applebee’s; every single time I go, it’s a reminder why I don’t. A strangely bad chain that doesn’t lead in any category. I hear they are popular in small towns that would otherwise have no restaurants.

Applebee's biggest trouble is their service. Food has always been pretty good(when you get what you order the first time), however forget any extra coffee(etc) with your meal. Therefore, I've not been there in years.....

It's popcorn butter with crushed Cheetos. They aren't bad but once you're eating them knowing it's popcorn butter as the sauce it's a little off putting 😅

I think the opinions of places like Chilli's and Applebee's really took a hit when it got out that the majority of their food was frozen and just heated up in like a microwave before serving it to customers.

I keep expecting Applebee’s to disappear entirely. I haven’t been to one in maybe 20 years. The nearest one is 13 miles away, in another town: any local one was closed long ago.
Not gonna lie, I love their quesadilla burger and a few of their pasta dishes. I live right next door to one and can't avoid it!

The last time I had the buffalo boneless wings at Applebees they where basically a salt lick with a little chicken mixed in.

Disregarding the flaming hot version, the regular Cheetos wings I gave a 10/10. The Cheetos cheese bites they have are a greasy sponge but still good.

$11.99 for 10 is robbery. I've been getting the boneless wings from Pizza Hut lately. $7.99 for 8 but if you buy 2 they are $7.00 a piece. They are big with lotsa sauce and they are fantastic.
