Disturbed is so underrated in his "metal" form, most of the people now know them for the sound of silence or down with the sickness, leaveing apart amazing albums from the sickness to immortalized
This song is about the singers grandfather passing away I think, he was really close to him. David (the singer) was religious at the time and couldn't understand why God would take away his grandfather away from him like that, probably his most beloved family member. This is a song about him losing his faith and crying out, questioning why God has done this to him. Getting fed up, taunting god, telling him "Why dont you take everything else away too? My life isn't hard enough already, just burn me alive inside why don't you, finish the job!"
This is a fun song because it is so open ended. What I hear from it is frustration at people who think their prayers and their faith will take all the bad things away. Like: bad shit will still happen, regardless of how much money you put in that plate on Sundays.

Please be nice fellow commentators idk that much of David except his girl committing suicide (inside the fire) and him growing up as a supposedly jew. Stricken and Indestructible are two more of their best , Inside the Fire (about suicide ) is pretty intense as well .
