Loved the quilt history lesson! What a treasure
I love cross stitching. Spring and Seasons are lovely. It is kind of fat quarter shop and you to pass them on. The sewing basket is special. The flour sack quilt is beautiful.
Well I loved all 1 hour and 55 min of this time with my friend today! You are so kind to mention my studio tour (which sounds so fancy, I have a hard time calling it a studio!). Also, that photo of those queen hoops made me drool! The Shellie influence hits hard for this girl 🥰. Husband was listening and said “I never know what to buy you, let’s order that stand for your bday”. I said, oh are you sure? 😇😇😇
Score!!!!!! Way to go husband

I absolutely loved the history of your quilts in your collection! They are all beautiful in their own way. ❤ You have inspired me to try hand quilting on my very first quilt I ever made. Thanks for sharing your love of all things stitching.
Hello there! My name is Angie from Kentucky. I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your style of Flosstube. I am loving learning about the history of sampler, notions, etc. You do a great job! I'm a fairly new stitcher so I am learning with each video. I love to "stitch" along with watching you. I am also a serious stitcher of the "seasons" so I can fill my home with them as decor. Thanks again!
Thank you SO very much for sharing your enthusiasm and passion for the fiber arts! I am learning SO much from you and I am enjoying every moment🥰
This Spring I have been able to stitch so many wonderful things and I am ready to stitch for the other Seasons💖✨

Spring Quilt Stitch Seasons
Oh my just think of all the things that quilt has seen over the years and how different the home it was originally made in is from the home it lives in now. If only these things could speak.
Totallly!! Want a Quilt!! These were great!! I especially like the Civil war time period one!! How cool is that!! There are folks that quilt in the UK, the U.S.A appears to be the best place to see these things!! I often look in second hand shops but nothing so far!
Stitch into spring....great video today as always
What an amazing quilt story!!! It made me want to spring out of my chair! Thank you for the informative history lesson! You’re the Nicola Parkman of quilts! I’d love to hear more! Excellent video!
I love your knowledge of quilts ! ❤

What a wonderful floss tube, I always learn so much when I get to see one of your videos. I gotta say that I am torn between Quilt, stitch, and seasons
Shellie, you make the best videos! Your stitching is perfect. The information about your quilts is fabulous. I wish i could pick your brain about a quilt that I want to make. Looking forward to your next video.
I❤ to save and finish works quilt of art too!
Oh I DID NOT want this flosstube to end!!! I'm going to go back and rewatch the quilts section! I had goose bumps by the time you got to the Civil War quilt!!! I remember reading years ago that women would send quilts they had made to their sons who were fighting in the war. Can't you just picture and feel in that quilt the soldier who laid on the ground after fighting all day and cuddles up in his mothers quilt!
Hi Shelly: Lovely intro, so happy you had a great time at retreat. How sweet the bag is, putting your great nephew in our daily Prayers, Praying he will be healthy and well very soon, seven surgeries are a load for a newborn.

Love that stitch you’re doing to honor your granddaughter…adorable!❤ spring
Hi Shellie
It was so lovely to see you again . I always enjoy your videos , full of wonderful things, but today it was absolutely wonderful, marvellous, I’ve watched it twice. It goes without saying your stitching is always beautiful, but today the sewing boxes were gorgeous, what a find. Then the quilts the stories they told I just didn’t realise. It brought tears to my eyes . Thank you my friend, God bless 👵 xx
Loved your history tour! My grandmother used feed sacks for so many things. She even made me shorts from feed sacks. Yes, I am well into my 70's and love all quilts and quilting. I learned from that Grandmother as I sat next to her as she sewed. She would be so shocked at the cost of fabric and that we are not using old clothing and feed sacks to make our quilts. Thank you! Spring, stitch and seasons.
Thank you for sharing the W stand, it looks very nice! The design reminds me of the Dubko stands. I like the versatility and that you mentioned it’s taller than the Potoky.
I enjoyed seeing your antique finds and stitching goodies. You’re a joy to watch and I always learn something new. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🪡❤️
Thank you Lara!!
Holy cow! What a video. Your enthusiastic demeanor is infectious. Whether it is about your friends, your needlework, your antiques, or your quilts, your love comes shining through 🎉 ❤
Love how you said, "whole, whole, whole " when you were showing the Christmas quilt. Sounded like, "Ho Ho Ho!" Awesome!!
Thanks so much for identifying the people in your photo montage. This spring has been filled with rainy days great to quilt. I love how you explain each stitch project. Each of the seasons holds special memories of when my kids were little.
I would love to stitch the Quilted Scarecrow 🍂 Thanks Shellie, love your videos
Just got around to watching this video. Love your finds!
Spring
Quilts,
Swans, summer, poppy, sea, cricket. These are all the packets that I like. 😊I would love to go with y'all on your road trip. You could stop by and pick me up in Fernandina Beach, which is just above Jacksonville, "wink wink". I'm originally from Lakeland, FL, which is known for it's swans. This summer is really going to be a hot one. Poppy and cricket or crickets will be out and looking nice and making noises rubbing their legs together. I leave about 6 miles from the beach, as Amelia Island is just across the bridge. The American Beach is also close by, which is famously known for being a beach for black people. Hope you can visit up here sometime on one of your road trips. Thanks for your videos. Y'all always put a smile on my face.😊
As always, watching your video was a treat. I wonder if we are related since my mother’s maiden name is Allen. I loved the stories of the quilts, feed sacks, and egg money. My grandmother, a child of the Depression born in 1925, told me that they took eggs to trade to pay for their lunches at school, and they thought everybody wore feed sack dresses. She saw a lot in her 90 years. Thank you for being a bright spot in my little world.
🎉SPRING 🎉Always like to watch your floss tube 🎉seasons 🎉 Thank you🙏🏼🥳🙏🏼
Wow what beautiful finds
Another great flosstube! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and enthusiasm... it's contagious!

Wow, Shellie! This flosstube was jam packed with so much stitchy goodness! And, I don’t think I’ve ever heard you talk so fast! I felt I needed to catch a breath! Please share pictures of your library! It sounds gorgeous! And my dish! What a finale showing us that beautiful antique sewing machine - what a find and so happy it is now part of your home! And, that feed sack quilt brought tears to my eyes…I have a very old & tattered quilt that my great grandmother made with the Dresden pattern …I don’t know if it’s feedsack but, I know she lived through very tough times. Thank you for sharing and bringing our attention to the resources to help us identify.

This flosstube has been so fabulous to watch. I have learnt so much information about the quilts that I never knew. I have been telling my husband all about what I am learning. Thank you.
I would be honored to do The Quilted Scarecrow Quilt. In the winter I simply love to quilt. Thank you for the wonderful videos!!
I tuned in for stitching, but LOVED the quilt lesson. I don’t know anything about quilts , but 20ish years ago I purchased 3 quilts from an estate/yard sale. They were rolled and tied up, but I bought them unseen because a dealer was there wanting them. I only paid $5 each. When I got them home they were in perfect condition. They were African American made as told to me by the relative at the sale. They too were made from clothing and you could see the perfect outline of men’s trousers. I sold them online to pay for a family vacation. The family time was so precious, but I still regret selling those quilts. I have a few made by my great grandmother. Maybe you could tell me what you see in them one day.
We need to FaceTime I’d love to see your quilts
I’d love that. I’ll email you about it one day.
