Not enough power.
Man have 150hp not 250. 210+ is a very good speed, look the Opel insignia with 170hp the max speed is 230 and the Renault talisman with 160hp and top sèed 215. DIESEL ENGINES!!

diesels have a lot of torque 260+ for these engines and torque is more imp for daily driving

The insignia is only 170!? That explains why I left one behind, I thought it was not accelerating but my car is also much lighter than that one. EDIT: The car has 28 years old and has the same top speed as this arteon O_O whoa

Good job at keeping up with the Sandero. I love seeing underpowered cars pushed to the max. Also why the Arteon won't go past 215 km/h ?

It won’t go past 215 because it has 150hp and its such a big car. VAG engines are like any other engine. I usually think that powerful engines are not necessary, but in a car like this I would go for the 190hp version, even more if I’ll drive it on german autobahn’s.
If i'm not not entirely mistaken, then you're driving on the Autobahn to the (current) end in Harthofen coming from Munich. It's a nice little track, but way to crowded at any time of the day. I prefer the Autobahn from Heldenstein to Martkl which is a little to the east. But those two will become one after they built the part from Heldenstein to Pastetten.

Was ich mich frage, warum haben der 150PS und 190PS TDI eine schöne Länge Übersetzung mit dem 7 Gang DSG und der 240PS TDI ist kurz übersetzt. Das macht für mich keinen Sinn.
Das ist für mich ein Grund, den 190PS TDI zu nehmen, statt den 240PS TDI
Very good speed for 150hp, but in this car the ideal engines are 2.0tdi 190hp or 2.0tsi.

DjTommy2008 i have 1.6 16valve Bora and same thing..when you just think a difference in prize between arteon and bora and he cant top Bora over 5 or 10kmh its really sad
Vedran Lukic My toughts exactly. A that price i rather buy gti and makett A stage 2 or 3 tuning and that nő match to a lot o cars. My Fried has one. 279 HP. From 90km/h full throthle and în a fiew seconds i was at 245 km/h and i didn't even shift în 6th. So. ..;-)
