Just found your channel today and it is refreshing to see a real home. So many people who share videos like this are brand new builds with money to buy everything that fits a certain aesthetic.
My only aesthetic over here is “chaos” 😅
I do the pile method! It makes the chaos turn into one unit for me mentally. Then I can sit in one spot and make piles and my boys will put them away. Like I'll sort legos, fake food and bean bags and then each kid will take trips putting them away in the designated bin etc. It's a good balance for all of us!

New subbie here from sunny Florida! 🏖️ We have three grown children and two grandchildren (almost 2 years old and a 5 month old). How well I remember the seemingly endless days of cleaning up Barbie’s and legos! If I had it to do over again, I’d definitely put the kids toys on rotation (putting some away and swapping them out periodically). I’d also allow fewer toys. They had so many! I’m sure it was overwhelming for them to manage. You did an amazing job with that pile! Wow! 🎉 Have a merry Christmas! 🎄

The babies' room looks super cute! I always plan on wrapping gifts as they come, but always end up wrapping like a crazy person the day before the christmas party. I've learned to wrap the big ones and put the smaller ones in bags 🎁

If you like the system of putting stuff on the stairs that needs to be put away later, add a couple of tallish baskets to each step. It makes it look less messy and its less bending over picking things up a second time. You can also catergorise the baskets (either by object type, like toys, clothes or by room). ❤

@@CleaningwithKim They think they are humans - the most social dog I've ever owned - LOL! They are a mess, and we love them so much! Grooming is a bit pricey and high maintenance, but they are amazing dogs.

Clutter on stair issues can be reduced by picking couple of items as you go up each time or pick a couple when coming down. Sami from LA

I have a crate/basket at the bottom and top of my stairs and anything that must go up or down goes in the baskets then i can just pick it up and walk around with it and put everything where it belongs...else im up and down the stairs a million times as thing get messy really fast with my two toddler boys, why we moved into a house with stairs i still dont know 😂😅

That's how I would clean when my kids were little, the pile method, in my own way...I would pile it all together, then get the clothes and all out to wash, then toys to put up, and then the rest is trash that I would just sweep up and trash...

Hey Kim, I’m a new subscriber. Mother of three boys and grandma of eight grandchildren. I’ve been decluttering my house. It’s a wonderful house and has lots of storage areas but in the near future, I’ll be downsizing, and I need to get rid of stuff and boy have I it’s been a huge ordeal. I think I’m almost done with a decluttering till after Christmas because I need to get presents. Oh I was wondering I enjoyed watching you clean the dishes but I was wondering do you have a dishwasher?
