the thing is they didn't know about the x parasites until they sent samus back to SR388. if you remember the intro of fusion, it even states that they didn't know about them until the moment they brought back an infected samus and that the metroids were the primary predators of them.

Other M: she get full sissy. The manga has a better and more accurate depiction of PTSD triggers.), and in it she overcome and overpower Ridley with pure rage, and later on in Zero, in a more calm and collected way. I have known people with PTSD who would laugh at the whole scene with Ridley.
This scene was one of the only cutscenes where I feel that Samus' character shines through. Her interactions with Adam in general show her to be more than just an empty shell. She made a connection, and in this moment, her only ally in all this kind of just... severed that connection.
@ArtBuffalo Other M borrows too much of its plot from Fusion. It makes Samus look kind of dumb for not realizing that the GF was experimenting with Metroids on the BSL.
@ArtBuffalo I thought the section was gonna was gonna eject anyway if someone went inside to prevent the Metroids from escaping and/or being taken. To my understanding, that was the whole reason Adam sacrificed himself; so Samus wouldn’t go in, get shot off in a metal tomb and die from it blowing up. He knew she was gonna go in to finish off the supposed Metroids after Melissa lied to Samus that the mother brain was in there (Samus didn’t know Melissa was MB yet). The only reason I imagined he even shot Samus with an Ice beam was by that point, she would be suspicious of Adam after what MB told her about who’s running everything and when she lost contact with him after he started making his way to her after he was attacked. He didn’t want to take chances with her kicking his ass, ignoring him and going in or whatnot. Saying that, I still think he’s was an asshole for the whole authorization crap, varia suit especially, but his sacrifice did not come off as pointless.
That would have actually been really interesting, although I must also note that there was already a deleter boss battle before (he was the one piloting the Ferrocrusher).

Other M - Samus broken and vulnerable and psychologically oppressed and regressed. Basically Fat Thor. Fusion to Dread - Laser focused and hellbent on ending everything. Basically Thor before getting fat.
I think it might have to do with self insertion, at least subconsciously. When you play a game with a character, don't you wish at times you were that hero that can do anything, doesn't have your weaknesses, and always knows what to do? For me, whenever I see a character that has those flaws, I find them easier to relate to.
i wonder why people get so mad when the hero gets humanized and their emotions, toughts and doubts are revealed... she is a human being, and not a robot, i give credit for this game, its a good one, not the best, no doubt, since its more focused on story telling than gameplay, but it does tell a nice story, and it have a new view of the character.
When I first saw this, I didn't understand all the fuss. The Devs gave Samus a human touch. Her best friend and mentor sacrificing his life to save hers and the Federation. The fact she was broken up because of his selfless act to save her life, shows the human side of her that was lacking in the previous games. I really enjoyed the scene because we see her for what she is; what Ian Durate said: human.

We find out in Dread that she is actually part Metroid now. She got this from Fusion ofcourse. Do you think that's why that one shot took her down so easily? She gets hit with beans and rockets all throughout the ship, but this one shot of ice takes her down!???
I have mixed feelings about Other M. I love the gameplay, and I like how they decided to explore Samus' emotional side, but there are even flaws that made me feel distant from it. First of all, when Samus is talking, it can be wayyyy too much. There should be moments when Samus doesnt have to explain every single little thing going on in her head whenever she looks at something, and let the player think WITH her. Show, don't tell. On the other hand, a friend of mine said her constant talking would be more justified if at the very beginning, she said something along the lines of "Personal Log: Samus Aran. Date XX/XX/XXXX. Why am I still alive?" And then the rest of the game will play out. It would make her constant talking make more sense. Secondly, her PTSD moment with Ridley, I heard from another commenter that Samus did have PTSD when encountering Ridley again in the manga, but she gets over it, all before this game happened. Yes, it was a sudden surprise that he happened to come back after she perceived him to be dead, but for her to have an episode of PTSD again that immensely is kind of weird. I dont mind her showing more emotion at all, but it sometimes feels a little forced. All in all, it's still a fun game to play. It's just not the BEST Metroid game
The game revolves around grief and depression, her powerlessness to save the Baby, how much it affected her mind and brought back older and already solved issues, like Ridley and her parents. I dare say this even justifies the mechanic of Adam gradually unlocking her inventory. She was mentally lost, looking for directions... Normal Samus would activate Varia the moment she entered a high temperature room. Depressed Samus would wait Adam orders even if it caused her death. Because deep inside she felt like not deserving to live anymore. Adam sacrifice ultimately restored her resolve.
From what I understand the intent with the Ridley scene wasn’t meant to be ‘Samus has a panic attack over the character she’s fought multiple times’ but instead was done to indicate how powerless she feels considering Ridley constantly keeps coming back and she fully believed him dead and buried after Super Metroid (I mean Zebes did blow up with him on it after all, you’d expect that would be the end of things). I understand that apparently the Japanese script explains this better but I can’t be certain. Either way it makes more sense to depict it like that. Less ‘omg Ridley im so scared’ and more ‘I have fought this monster that killed my parents and he keeps coming back, am I really so weak that I can’t kill him no matter what?’
14 years later, & this scene hits us so hard that it’s better than the whole game. Rip Adam. Not only Samus was proud to have him as a father since Old-Bird. But almost felt like that they do love each other more.

The ONLY time she was actually saved by anybody else in the entirety of OtherM was when Adam sacrificed himself to save her life, which was something that was introduced in Fusion may I remind it to you. On the contrary, it's Samus that constantly saves everybody else in the game, from the start with Brug Mass to things like saving Anthony from the Rhedogian. Also, why would it be a bad thing to begin with? Was it bad that the Baby saved Samus in both Samus Returns and Super to you? Was it bad to you that the animals saved Samus at the end of Fusion? That's a strawman argument. See for the most part detractors of the game have no problem with the idea of an emotional or human representation of Samus. In fact, I found the concept quite exciting. The actual problem we have is with the quality of the execution, which in the case of Other M was quite poor.

Let me get this straight, Adam shot samus first because he didn't think they could freeze the metroid, so, lets assume he was right. Had the metroid been inmune to cold, his plan was to shot Samus first making her unable to move or defend herself, shot Ice to an invincible metroid, which wouldn't work because he was right, the Metroid kills samus while he regrets his plan, then the metroid comes after him and drains him aswell, letting a metroid free while also not destroying sector zero, letting the entire galaxy to die at the hands of M. B. Wow, wonderful, what a super smart plan
Have him shoot the Metroid first, then stun Samus after apologizing in advance, that way he could keep her safe. "I didn't know if that would work; they're making Metroids without their weakness to cold here. Sorry, Samus, but this is an enemy even you won't be able to defeat."

Okay apparently you must've missed the parts where she did absolutely everything while the soldiers dropped like flies. She took down the monsters, she saved Anthony, she secured and protected Madeleine from the GF troops and the monsters until Anthony could officially claim her according to the law. And Adam decided to kill himself since Samus is the only one to get shit done.
Somehow I find it very similar to that scene from Revenge of the Sith. It almost feels like that Samus loved Adam more than a father. As if they were meant for each other. But who would want a Metroid game that deals with a romance plot? Oh well. At least this scene does feel like a better love story than Twilight.
I’m of two minds about OtherM. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the gameplay and story. It was neat having Sami’s narrate her story as something different. And getting some background with Adam and her time in the Federation. But that leads into my other mindset: the entire game was a bit of a rehash of Fusion. Minus the X-parasites.
Adam must be the strongest being in the universe. Nobody has ever one-shot samus before. 1) Samus has been bitchslapped by Omega Metroids to the point she can't even stand up, and never lost her suit. Adam must be like twice as strong, because not only does he REMOVE the suit, he knocks her out too. 2) Samus has literally been sucked within an inch of her life by a truck-sized Metroid. Her suit stayed on though... 3) Samus has literally been blasted by a beam so strong, it's crippled her with her suit still active. Her suit stayed on. 4) Samus commonly gets hit with shit so powerful it LITERALLY breaks functions on her power suit. It still stays on though.... 5) This non-chozo, pussybeam that adam shoots not only knocks her out but removes her suit as well? If it was this easy, i highly doubt the Space Pirates would be afraid of Samus at all. This can't be samus. This is some bitch-bred, un-chozo-infused impostor that is pretending to be Samus. It's the only explanation.
In the manga is said that the suit works with will power, here she lost some of his comrades, had to fight Ridley who she tought was dead for sure and was walking to a most certain death. so yeah i dont think the suit was in its maximum capacity

@executableapplet The only way to destroy sector zero is through a self destruct protocol which combined with Metroids that can't be frozen will guaranteed kill the one going in there to destroy it. Adam decides to do it instead of Samus in order to save her life! He also knows that Samus would never agree to this and could easily stop Adam so he shoots her in the back while she is distracted by the Metroid to weaken her in order to prevent her from stopping him. It's not rocket science dude...
@ArtBuffalo fission metroids had other weaknesses, those were a different beast, the only way to destroy the metroids presented here was doing what Adam did. @executableapplet Obviously there are things that could've been done better in the game from all standpoints but I don't get the whole "Sakamoto ruined Samus forever and the franchise" thing because it's honestly not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Other Metroid games get away with cheesy plot points, plot holes and inconsistencies and I can't help but feel Other M is judged much more harshly. Is it among the best Metroids? Nope, is it the worst one? Not really...
I really do not understand the hate behind this game. So it’s wrong to give Samus a personality and just keep the silent hero act like Link. But at least Link has unique facial expressions that define his character. This game shows Samus past life before she became an independent bounty hunter. Can no one not see that? @@Symphonia30 The problem is samus talks A LOT about random bullshit all the time. Look at Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. That's how a game should be done. The point is "Show, don't tell". She talked in Metroid Fusion rarely, but it was actually interesting and she never overreacted or cried and stuff. I've played every Metroid game and personally, this is my least favorite one. Also, game received massive hate because we want to tell devs that in future we don't want more Metroid games like this one, so I'm personally fine with it. Metroid Dread and Prime 4 will hopefully fix those mistakes and revive franchise
One question for this game: If these Metroids truly are indestructible, then how come some self destruct system could defeat them? Also at 5:18 Adam explained the story better than anyone else.
They're only invulnerable to cold based weapons. That's their only invulnerability. They never said they were that invincible. Sector Zero Metroids needed something big to destroy them which is a massive explosion.

***** Problem with that is the Prime series in all likelihood happened before Other M. I cant say for certain, but most people I have spoken to puts Other M and Fusion to be the latests games in the timeline. A explanation exists though. It is possible that only the base form of Ridley truly triggers her PTSD, that Meta and Omega Ridley are different enough that it does not trigger, at least not to the same degree. That is my theory though, take it as you will.
Either way, I expect the Armour of Samus Aran, crafted from Chozo technology, designed by Mother brain herself, would be able to resist that shot at least one some level.

Not only does it focus on Samus as a character but from what I understand and if timeline is correct the game takes place after the events of Super Metroid so she was still young and naive. After what happened to Adam it's clear that she was going through grief.

@ArtBuffalo I'd have to assume that they still retained and used the DNA of the Baby Metroid. Even something small can still be used for big things. We don't know how much they got from Samus off her suit. If that was everything, then it should include what's left of the DNA of the original Last Metroid and whether it was destroyed or not. At least in terms of possible theories and speculation. They already made successful attempt at making Metroids, especially considering that they did made a vaccine for Samus. Fusion was still a success regardless of what people think. It still brought to the table more challenges for Samus to overcome and she was at her weakest. Granted she did start out with her Power Suit and needed upgrade like every game before Fusion. But the fact she had her Power Suit mostly stripped down after being infected made it more legit and very daunting that her X counterpart had all of her weapons, thus, making it dangerous. No one started clowning Sakamoto until Other M. So all the special attention he's getting for that even years down the line is raising questions.
He had to kill those metroids BEFORE the GF arrived since they would have taken them just like they did with Ridley's and Nightmare's corpses as well as many of the other speciments and the Cyborg Zebesians. The GF was infiltrated by a corrupted cell, James Pierce and the admiral that arrived at the end of the game were part of it. Adam did the right thing at the right time, but people seem to not have played the game yet talk shit about it.

It’s so weird how for this game they went completely off the walls with voice acting, for Samus especially, gameplay was a bit weird and outside the norm of a traditional 2D side scroller or first person shooter Metroid title. But literally every other game in the franchise except for Prime 3 has voice acting.
I think it was stupid for the rogue faction of the GF to create unfreezable Metroids that were invincible in battle with no counter measures at all like a special exclusive fail safe weapon or something. They could’ve overwhelmed them with MB controlling them or not.
I know this game is old and so is this video but I will say it anyway 4:36 Adam she literally has done it like billions of times, freaking Metroid I and III in Zebes, she almost extinct them in SR388 and all Metroid Prime considering Dark Samus is a metroid as well...Adam didn't know jack $hit

I think you’re just nitpicking. Samus definitely emoted a lot on Dread, look at her first interaction with Quiet Robe, for example. The entire lax looking up resting a hand on her knee thingy and practically the entire segment. She’s way angrier on that game though -- which, I get, to some extent -- Other M is Samus at her worse. Emotionally. Then, Dread is Samus tired of her dealing with BS, and having to deal with an megalomaniacal Darth Chozo claiming being her parent just because he was an DNA donor. I understand her anger and resentment on Dread, as I do her heartbreak and depression on Other M. Samus being mute is actually a nitpick of mine too, but I think that's what we'll be dealt with from Dread onwards. People received Other M too poorly and I don't think they’ll ever attempt something close to it again. A damn shame, don't you think? I quite enjoyed speaking Samus :'(
I hate how Adam sacrifices himself when Samus could just drop a Power Bomb in Sector Zero and left. Then it'd be done, without Adam dying and Samus' character ruined even more
That wouldn't have worked. In the game it is clearly stated that big enough explosions (like power bombs) would cause Sector Zero to implode, basically killing Samus in the process.

To my understanding, that was the whole reason Adam sacrificed himself; so Samus wouldn’t go in, get shot off in a metal tomb and die from it blowing up. He knew she was gonna go in to finish off the supposed Metroids after Melissa lied to Samus that the mother brain was in there (Samus didn’t know Melissa was MB yet). The only reason I imagined he even shot Samus with an Ice beam was by that point, she would be suspicious of Adam after what MB told her about who’s running everything and when she lost contact with him after he started making his way to her after he was attacked.
He didn’t want to take chances with her kicking his ass, ignoring him and going in or whatnot. Saying that, I still think he’s was an asshole for the whole authorization crap, varia suit especially, but his sacrifice did not come off as pointless.

I think it might have to do with self insertion, at least subconsciously. When you play a game with a character, don't you wish at times you were that hero that can do anything, doesn't have your weaknesses, and always knows what to do?
For me, whenever I see a character that has those flaws, I find them easier to relate to.

i wonder why people get so mad when the hero gets humanized and their emotions, toughts and doubts are revealed... she is a human being, and not a robot, i give credit for this game, its a good one, not the best, no doubt, since its more focused on story telling than gameplay, but it does tell a nice story, and it have a new view of the character.

When I first saw this, I didn't understand all the fuss. The Devs gave Samus a human touch. Her best friend and mentor sacrificing his life to save hers and the Federation. The fact she was broken up because of his selfless act to save her life, shows the human side of her that was lacking in the previous games. I really enjoyed the scene because we see her for what she is; what Ian Durate said: human.

I have mixed feelings about Other M. I love the gameplay, and I like how they decided to explore Samus' emotional side, but there are even flaws that made me feel distant from it.
First of all, when Samus is talking, it can be wayyyy too much. There should be moments when Samus doesnt have to explain every single little thing going on in her head whenever she looks at something, and let the player think WITH her. Show, don't tell. On the other hand, a friend of mine said her constant talking would be more justified if at the very beginning, she said something along the lines of "Personal Log: Samus Aran. Date XX/XX/XXXX. Why am I still alive?" And then the rest of the game will play out. It would make her constant talking make more sense.
Secondly, her PTSD moment with Ridley, I heard from another commenter that Samus did have PTSD when encountering Ridley again in the manga, but she gets over it, all before this game happened. Yes, it was a sudden surprise that he happened to come back after she perceived him to be dead, but for her to have an episode of PTSD again that immensely is kind of weird.
I dont mind her showing more emotion at all, but it sometimes feels a little forced.
All in all, it's still a fun game to play. It's just not the BEST Metroid game
The game revolves around grief and depression, her powerlessness to save the Baby, how much it affected her mind and brought back older and already solved issues, like Ridley and her parents. I dare say this even justifies the mechanic of Adam gradually unlocking her inventory. She was mentally lost, looking for directions... Normal Samus would activate Varia the moment she entered a high temperature room. Depressed Samus would wait Adam orders even if it caused her death. Because deep inside she felt like not deserving to live anymore. Adam sacrifice ultimately restored her resolve.
From what I understand the intent with the Ridley scene wasn’t meant to be ‘Samus has a panic attack over the character she’s fought multiple times’ but instead was done to indicate how powerless she feels considering Ridley constantly keeps coming back and she fully believed him dead and buried after Super Metroid (I mean Zebes did blow up with him on it after all, you’d expect that would be the end of things). I understand that apparently the Japanese script explains this better but I can’t be certain. Either way it makes more sense to depict it like that. Less ‘omg Ridley im so scared’ and more ‘I have fought this monster that killed my parents and he keeps coming back, am I really so weak that I can’t kill him no matter what?’
14 years later, & this scene hits us so hard that it’s better than the whole game.

I don't think you have actually played the game if you say such things. The ONLY time she was actually saved by anybody else in the entirety of OtherM was when Adam sacrificed himself to save her life, which was something that was introduced in Fusion may I remind it to you.
On the contrary, it's Samus that constantly saves everybody else in the game, from the start with Brug Mass to things like saving Anthony from the Rhedogian.
Also, why would it be a bad thing to begin with? Was it bad that the Baby saved Samus in both Samus Returns and Super to you? Was it bad to you that the animals saved Samus at the end of Fusion?

That's a strawman argument. See for the most part detractors of the game have no problem with the idea of an emotional or human representation of Samus. In fact, I found the concept quite exciting. The actual problem we have is with the quality of the execution, which in the case of Other M was quite poor.
Agreed. Some even made the argument that she’s oppressed. I don’t believe this is the case, because Samus views Adam as a father figure, and even mentions he was her confidant. From what I can see, Adam knows and respects this, which to be honest makes him an exceptional character-and person- in my eyes.

Let me get this straight, Adam shot samus first because he didn't think they could freeze the metroid, so, lets assume he was right.
Had the metroid been inmune to cold, his plan was to shot Samus first making her unable to move or defend herself, shot Ice to an invincible metroid, which wouldn't work because he was right, the Metroid kills samus while he regrets his plan, then the metroid comes after him and drains him aswell, letting a metroid free while also not destroying sector zero, letting the entire galaxy to die at the hands of M. B.

Somehow I find it very similar to that scene from Revenge of the Sith. It almost feels like that Samus loved Adam more than a father. As if they were meant for each other. But who would want a Metroid game that deals with a romance plot? Oh well. At least this scene does feel like a better love story than Twilight.
I’m of two minds about OtherM. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the gameplay and story. It was neat having Sami’s narrate her story as something different. And getting some background with Adam and her time in the Federation. But that leads into my other mindset: the entire game was a bit of a rehash of Fusion. Minus the X-parasites.

Adam must be the strongest being in the universe. Nobody has ever one-shot samus before.
1) Samus has been bitchslapped by Omega Metroids to the point she can't even stand up, and never lost her suit. Adam must be like twice as strong, because not only does he REMOVE the suit, he knocks her out too.
2) Samus has literally been sucked within an inch of her life by a truck-sized Metroid. Her suit stayed on though...
3) Samus has literally been blasted by a beam so strong, it's crippled her with her suit still active. Her suit stayed on.
4) Samus commonly gets hit with shit so powerful it LITERALLY breaks functions on her power suit. It still stays on though....
5) This non-chozo, pussybeam that adam shoots not only knocks her out but removes her suit as well? If it was this easy, i highly doubt the Space Pirates would be afraid of Samus at all.

@executableapplet The only way to destroy sector zero is through a self destruct protocol which combined with Metroids that can't be frozen will guaranteed kill the one going in there to destroy it. Adam decides to do it instead of Samus in order to save her life! He also knows that Samus would never agree to this and could easily stop Adam so he shoots her in the back while she is distracted by the Metroid to weaken her in order to prevent her from stopping him. It's not rocket science dude...
@ArtBuffalo fission metroids had other weaknesses, those were a different beast, the only way to destroy the metroids presented here was doing what Adam did. @executableapplet Obviously there are things that could've been done better in the game from all standpoints but I don't get the whole "Sakamoto ruined Samus forever and the franchise" thing because it's honestly not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Other Metroid games get away with cheesy plot points, plot holes and inconsistencies and I can't help but feel Other M is judged much more harshly. Is it among the best Metroids? I really do not understand the hate behind this game. So it’s wrong to give Samus a personality and just keep the silent hero act like Link. But at least Link has unique facial expressions that define his character. This game shows Samus past life before she became an independent bounty hunter. Can no one not see that?

She talked in Metroid Fusion rarely, but it was actually interesting and she never overreacted or cried and stuff. I've played every Metroid game and personally, this is my least favorite one.
Also, game received massive hate because we want to tell devs that in future we don't want more Metroid games like this one, so I'm personally fine with it. Metroid Dread and Prime 4 will hopefully fix those mistakes and revive franchise

***** Problem with that is the Prime series in all likelihood happened before Other M. I cant say for certain, but most people I have spoken to puts Other M and Fusion to be the latests games in the timeline.
A explanation exists though. It is possible that only the base form of Ridley truly triggers her PTSD, that Meta and Omega Ridley are different enough that it does not trigger, at least not to the same degree. That is my theory though, take it as you will.

Either way, I expect the Armour of Samus Aran, crafted from Chozo technology, designed by Mother brain herself, would be able to resist that shot at least one some level.

Not only does it focus on Samus as a character but from what I understand and if timeline is correct the game takes place after the events of Super Metroid so she was still young and naive. After what happened to Adam it's clear that she was going through grief.

@ArtBuffalo I'd have to assume that they still retained and used the DNA of the Baby Metroid. Even something small can still be used for big things. We don't know how much they got from Samus off her suit. If that was everything, then it should include what's left of the DNA of the original Last Metroid and whether it was destroyed or not. At least in terms of possible theories and speculation. They already made successful attempt at making Metroids, especially considering that they did made a vaccine for Samus.
Fusion was still a success regardless of what people think. It still brought to the table more challenges for Samus to overcome and she was at her weakest. Granted she did start out with her Power Suit and needed upgrade like every game before Fusion. But the fact she had her Power Suit mostly stripped down after being infected made it more legit and very daunting that her X counterpart had all of her weapons, thus, making it dangerous.
No one started clowning Sakamoto until Other M. So all the special attention he's getting for that even years down the line is raising questions.
He had to kill those metroids BEFORE the GF arrived since they would have taken them just like they did with Ridley's and Nightmare's corpses as well as many of the other speciments and the Cyborg Zebesians. The GF was infiltrated by a corrupted cell, James Pierce and the admiral that arrived at the end of the game were part of it. Adam did the right thing at the right time, but people seem to not have played the game yet talk shit about it.

It’s so weird how for this game they went completely off the walls with voice acting, for Samus especially, gameplay was a bit weird and outside the norm of a traditional 2D side scroller or first person shooter Metroid title. But literally every other game in the franchise except for Prime 3 has voice acting.
I think it was stupid for the rogue faction of the GF to create unfreezable Metroids that were invincible in battle with no counter measures at all like a special exclusive fail safe weapon or something. They could’ve overwhelmed them with MB controlling them or not.

Okay besides the drab acting, poorly executed story that could of been way better, and click to advance segments my Number 1 problem with this game is: WHY THE FUCK DOES SAMUS ARAN WEAR HEELS FOR HER UNDERARMOR like Zero Mission got it right and specifically said heels should not be too high so the idea of Samus doing this whole game in heels is ridiculous!

Fucking Nintendo... basically muting Samus again for Metroid Dread... I don't understand, she sounds fine in this game and actually, she felt like a person. In Dread she feels like a robot following orders from an AI not like a silent badass...
I think you’re just nitpicking. Samus definitely emoted a lot on Dread, look at her first interaction with Quiet Robe, for example. The entire lax looking up resting a hand on her knee thingy and practically the entire segment. She’s way angrier on that game though -- which, I get, to some extent -- Other M is Samus at her worse. Emotionally. Then, Dread is Samus tired of her dealing with BS, and having to deal with an megalomaniacal Darth Chozo claiming being her parent just because he was an DNA donor. I understand her anger and resentment on Dread, as I do her heartbreak and depression on Other M.
Samus being mute is actually a nitpick of mine too, but I think that's what we'll be dealt with from Dread onwards. People received Other M too poorly and I don't think they’ll ever attempt something close to it again. A damn shame, don't you think? I quite enjoyed speaking Samus :'(

Sakamoto's backsit sometimes cry for help, and plead for him to come back where he belong all the while telling him to know his place.
I hate how Adam sacrifices himself when Samus could just drop a Power Bomb in Sector Zero and left. Then it'd be done, without Adam dying and Samus' character ruined even more
That wouldn't have worked. In the game it is clearly stated that big enough explosions (like power bombs) would cause Sector Zero to implode, basically killing Samus in the process.
