    This is probably the instruction which applies to what my children need to learn. Suttlety of the off balance...and as someone said in regard to saving much energy during your randori sessions. Great teaching Sensei

    I am a Traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu student, and this is one of the way that we are taught to throw.... I am presently surprised that Judo has this in it repertoire, too.

    Lemme see if i got this... The second manner is like when an air ballon is filled, pushing the air outward will have the same result as just letting the air escape through the hole, right?
    Instead of delivering energy through muscular tension in a particular direction, you absorb your opponent's tension to a void. I mean, the energy still flows, but does not conflict, right?

    I think i got it. Its not fight against the force, its relax and let it go. The opponent will not even realize he is being throw

    Rolled up sleeves would catch your opponent's finger and break it. It happened once to me.
