@@handcoding Hi there, The RTA has been a good addition to my sound system. The most useful feature to me is knowing what frequency creates vibration noises in my listening room, once I identify the frequency using the RTA, I can then replicate the HZ using a TH-cam video, then I can treat the room.
My Kenwood EQ with stereo spectrum analyzers just stopped turning on. Sadly all of these displays in this vid are hard to come by. Why did the entire world give up on nice flashy fluorescent or oled displays? I am thinking of starting a business just do make these.
Hello friend, I would like to know if you can help me, I have a PP-131 digital spectrum analyzer, and I installed it to my Mcintoch Integrated MA-9500 Amplifier and a DBX 2231 Equalizer but the display or spectrum almost moves, the signal is very weak, I would like to know what the script for installation, i think i must be doing something wrong here. So what can I do? I have a new Amplifier, Mcintosh MA-9500, is there a way to make the Spectrum work 100%? Thanks Gary Cruz, "Hablo espanol" gracias.
Thanks Gary. Which HDMI port on the receiver would I use so that sound is sent to the analyzer from all sources (DAC, turntable, CD, DVD)? Do I need to connect the analyzer outputs back into the receiver?
@@dwj3005 I look at the connections and it doesn't have the RCA connection to go out. You would need an HDMI to audio extractor like this: amzn.to/3ICJEs1
how much is this clock and left and right channel display .. and how much is this qualizer? for information on where to get to buy. thank you. Greetings.
Hello, how could I connect the BDS to my integrated amplifier? I'm using a Yamaha A-s1200 and a Marantz Na 6006 streamer (I see we have the same "vumeter disease" hahahhha)
Heads up, you should probably cut your levels dramatically or mute those sinewave sweeps if you're going to do them so slow, because it can cause physical pain at 8 Khz. Anybody who wasn't sure what you were about to do or where it was going might've had some discomfort, or even damaged their playback device if it was particularly crappy.
Sorry if my comment seems sarcastic, I don’t mean it to be.. but I’m playing this on my iPad Air and your voice sounds distorted, as if you had the gain structure wrong when recording this. It’s ironic since the video is all about watching the levels.
No offense taken. It's the odd way I had to connect all of them together while trying to reduce the workflow by making it go through my streaming software. I got blasted for waiting too long to put this together, so I just put it together without worrying about making it "perfect".
That’s what happens when a video is rushed. It’s always a tug of war between getting something out timely vs focusing on quality. Thanks for the feedback though!
now that's a light show, currently waiting on my Fungeneration RTA-31. I miss the '80s where almost every piece of gear had analyzers or VU meters.
Out of curiosity, can I ask how you’re liking your Fungeneration RTA-31? That looks like a rather nice piece of kit.

Gary, i love the flashing lights, led's, vu meter, etc. Too! Thanks for this vid.....
Glad to see it's not just me!

I splurged on a classic Samson D-1500. Just check out the BDS rack VU meters on eBay. They are pretty good!

How would you connect a spectrum analyzer to an AVR? (Marantz SR7010)

Would you be able to send us some links for racks that will take the BDS spectrum please?
Easily fits in this case: amzn.to/3cEUte7
Well at 500, do I need it?
No, but YOLO!

It has RCA inputs and outputs
Where would one plug in the RCA inputs and outputs on an AVR receiver?
where to buy this product? May you share a link? I appreciate your comments. Thanks
