It was AMAZING to say the least!! We went dec 1st through the 3rd and the weather was beautiful. Not nearly as cold or wet as we thought. We took our mountain bikes and rode down sandstone after walking them up through all of that loose sand. I couldn't even get to the 2nd tight spot you mention at 4:00 due to a huge bolder even before that. It was pretty cool to see the jeeps just plow right around it with ease. Thats where we parked hiked the rest of the way. Thank you again!
very nice! i like the way the host talks. he's like the Bob Ross of 4WDs...The Joy of 4wheeling (?) just a quick suggestion. you may want to tag your fj cruiser videos with "FJ CRUISER" so it'll show up in the search results for people looking for fj related stuff. gonna watch more of your vids now. cheers!
I have a full size gmc sierra 4x4... will it not make it to the turn around? took wide to even get to the spot right before the turn around like he said? Damn I really want to go, it looks awesome! Great video.
@josuebre Sorry we missed your comment for so long......Basically you head up Fish Creek until you get to the turn off for Sandstone Canyon and take it all the way to the end.
+volcom7209 No. It's always a good idea to as it provides a better ride and more flotation. We did not simply to see how well the FJ did. Remember we filmed this when the FJ we were using was a pre-production model.
whats an- ok trail an anza for a 2wheel drive??? were going on a hike / camp 2 dya trip and would love to take my truck out just sight seeing on some trails where im not gonna be the laughing stock or compromise the transportation for the family!! please help
i would love to do it one day but now i know not to bring an FJ up there. I think a Rubi would be small enough and its definitively capable. I wouldnt dare take something like a dodge ram there.

Very beautiful - thank you very much Doug!
So I take it that it's a no for a 2005 Silverado 2500 Hd with xtra cab and a "short" bed with a 3" lift and 33"s bfg a/t. (Rear Locker)??
Thanks.
Will do.....
It would be a great trail for a Rubi.

My pleasure...Sorry about missing this comment earlier - had some problems where we didn't get notified of new comments.
His voice is relaxing, I like his reviews
Haha, roger that. Thank you and keep up the great vids!
Sounds like that would be a great ride......greater after a rain though when the sand is hard ;-)

Did you guys have to air down your tires?

+Diego Flores If you have decent tires and let a little air out and stay on the trail you should be just fine.
think i could go in there with 2wd and e-locker?
@05front The only problem will be in the tight spots - just be careful ;-)
I think so unless for some reason it was torn up....
@josuebre Try these - they are from the guide book, Backcountry Adventures.

Make sure your arm doesn't get pinned by a boulder in the slot canyon!
Wear a good pair of hiking boots and walk up the rest of the way - it would be worth it ;-)
sick street tires!!
