    Two things that I know: Strip clubs and Dollar Tree both scam you on the meat they provide.

      The frozen section/snacks/drinks at the dollar store are actually really good. At the dollar store in the frozen section there was this frozen chocolate hershey's shake thing that was very good. A lot of the stuff in the dollar store is good, you just need to avoid the meats..

      Jonathan Stewart Always remember time is short. We must repent of our sins (sin is transgression of The TURAH) and believe on The Master YAHUSHA. We must believe on YAHUSHA. In Hebrew, the word "believe" means to "Trust and Obey" so we must Trust and Obey YAHUSHA
      Faith saves you. TRUE faith will produce obedience. If we have genuine faith, we will obey YAHUAH’S Law (TURAH). We will repent when we stumble into sin (sin is transgression of The TURAH) and trust in The Master YAHUSHA. Grace is what allows us to be the men and women that YAHUAH The Father in Heaven called us to be. It allows us to obey through His SET-APART (HOLY) RUACH (SPIRIT). 🙂

      Who on earth calls it cream gravy?

    • @humanoid8344
      @humanoid8344 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      M B there's a bunch of different types of gravy it depends on how you cook it, cream gravy is made from mostly milk or cream, opposed to brown gravy or poultry gravy which are mostly the juice from the meat from what I know

    • @imeggman
      @imeggman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know, but I'm simply stating that I've never heard it called "cream gravy." I was born in, grew up in, and still live in the south, and I've always heard it called "country gravy" or "sausage gravy" (but without the sausage) or even just white gravy. This is literally the first time I've ever heard it called "cream gravy." Sometimes even "pepper gravy."

      Harmonica Evahnie Frozen salmon for a dollar? That just sounds like you're buying food poisoning in a box. I'm guessing it's some farm raised salmon that's been treated with a laundry list of fillers and extenders and then sold to some poor schmuck for a $1.00.

      I was the kitchen boss for a prison in Texas. I ran 2 shifts, overseeing about 25 inmates per shift. I didn't do much cooking myself but I ate a lot. Our meats were far better than that lol. Definitely not typical free world meat market quality, but it's not random crap from a bucket of cuttings. Although the BBQ Beef was questionable. It tasted amazing but it was made mostly of some sort of vegetable protein.Came in 5 gallon buckets. Texas prison system (TDCJ) raises a lot of pigs and their pork is on point. On my dinner chow shift I had a cook and 2 bakers who were outstanding. With the limited stuff they had to work with, they made small batches of stuff better than free world restaurants. I really wanted to get them into the culinary program but my unit didn't qualify for it since it was a 2-year transfer facility. Once they chained out (transferred) to their long term unit, my sarge and I sent some recommendations to the food service captain there.
      I suspect a lot of the meat in those processed frozen foods from Dollar Tree (and even many things in grocery stores that are pre-breaded) come from inside a meat saw machine. Those meat saws produce a lot of fine-cut meat that's almost a powder, especially when the bone-in blade is being used since it shreds the meat more.
      I hear federal prisons get some nasty stuff because they get so many old surplus military rations.

      If people chose not to eat meat or animal products I can respect that. But if they think those vegan fake meats are healthy they're fooling themselves.

      As long as there is environmental pressure (e.g., food thats bad for us) there is the possibility of advantages/resistsances mutating and living on. Like how most europeans can digest milk.

      It takes millions of years. But if you want to see a good example, look at how westerners handle alcohol vs eastern people. Our livers are different. It's kinda cool. Also some people from the east like Asia lack the ability to break down alcohol fully and turn bright red as a result. Heavy drinking vs moderate for thousands of generations made Western people better at handling toxins like alcohol.

    Just to let you know a true 'chicken fried steak' takes many steps. Step 1. Beat the hell out of 1/2 inch cross cuts of stew roast. Cheap meat. Beat it till it almost looks like hamburger meat and thin flat. 2. breading is egg wash then dipped in a simple flour mix. 'Flour, salt, pepper, seasons like garlic, onion, and maybe a little MSG. You bread the steaks a minimum of 2 times. Place on rack. Refrigerate over night. 3. You fry the steaks on an open grill with lard till golden. Then you deep fry till they float in lard deep fryer. Then serve with the type of gravy you mentioned in this video. Fat and flour to make rue. Then milk and water to make mix. Then a short boil to thicken. Add salt to your taste. Then you bury the meat, potatoes and serve with a vegetable and a bread. This was originally a "poor man's steak". The chilling or 12 hour set time after 2-4 breadings, with the twice cook method makes the biggest difference. Go get a cheap roast and try it.

    We all like to make fun of Dollar Tree food but to someone truly broke and hungry it beats an empty stomach. I have eaten food from Dollar Tree when there’s too many days till payday and your whole check went on paying bills or car repairs. And I survived.

      AlatarTheBlue That's not how food works. Everything is in metric or imperial units, not both.
      Makes it hard to guestimate

    • @alatartheblue3878

      I've always seen both metric and imperial for the weight and metric for the nutrition facts

    • @Sarcastix7
      @Sarcastix7 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      AlatarTheBlue Really? On your normal food too?
      I thought it might just be this cheap off brand stuff. That would be very confusing. Weight of the food in lbs and ounces but then you see that if I eat 100 grams, it'll be this many calories etc... There's no correlation unless you know how to concerts back and forth

    Oh... and it is brown gravy when you use meat drippings. To make beautiful white gravy you use bacon fat drippings. Some lard. Flour, salt, pepper and Mrs. Dash. 1/4 cup drippings to 3/4 -1 cup flour mix. Make your ruge. Then add can milk, 1 cup water and a teaspoon of sugar. Bring to a boil. Pow. White gravy while stirring constantly. Add whole milk to get your desired thickness. If to thin. Add cold milk or water to flower. Mixx well. Add mix to gravy to thicken. Very important that the gravy boils .

    Since when did Dollar Tree start selling frozen foods? I learned my lesson buying food from Dollar Tree. A few months ago I bought some canned smoked oysters thinking they were just as good as what Wal-Mart sells being the same brand. To my disgust, they looked and tasted like they were way out of date. Reminds me of the Salsa Verde I once bought from Big Lots that when opened was black.

      My dog wouldn't eat them! Spoiled bitch gets dehydrated chicken, venison, duck, turkey & on occasion, beef strips as treats & some overpriced, high falutin', no grain, poultry/fowl cans & kibble. She turns her nose up at stuff like cookies & junk food, but she'd rip yer head off for real ice cream or custard (I make custard every couple of weeks in Summer & she absolutely loves it!) I worry about these "experiments" with dollar store foods, but I'm guessing (hoping & praying) Wolfe isn't eating this processed mystery meat daily.
