- I'm using the restored Keishobu deck along with Estrella's mini major arcana and a deck of pop-star playing cards.
I'm using my "Self-Generating Spread", which means that the spread itself determines which questions one asks.
Beautiful reading. Otis Redding put it into my head that many of us are reaching the end of a road. The Tower suggests that ways we've been doing things are failing, and maybe we feel like we've come all this way, done all this work, only to find ourselves at the end of it, sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away from us, with nothing to show for it and no way forward. But that song isn't sad, really, is it? It's calming and light. As you suggested, maybe it's about letting go of what is not working or good for us. It's a heavy, scary blow to a chunk of our life's foundations, but it is what it is, and we have no choice but to absorb it, learn from it, and carry on. Looking at the other cards, I feel this reading is saying this is a good month to let go of the old and create a new paradigm for ourselves. In any event, we can't keep doing what we've done in the past. Now is a time to settle ourselves and consider our options.

Impressive
A lovely reading. I am due to receive my state pension in early March (I work part time at the moment). And will carry on work for a while. But tbh I am tired of striving and really just want to sit on the dock of the bay and do nothing. I am currently attending a painting workshop and I am only
beginning to understand now how to improve by having fun and not slogging myself. PS. I really loved the format of the reading. The four cards that inspired the questions. And then the answers - bringing it all in together. Thank you Robert. ❤

I was looking forward to this. Using cards to help ask the question seems very useful to me. Since I learned about your self generating spread I've been working on defining for myself what those major cards are asking (well mostly they are the same as you have been describing them, lol.) Thank you!

Thank you. Reading is perfectly accurate. My provider partner moved out of our family home this weekend. It’s a massive financial rug pull and the end to the illusion of a happily ever after 🌈 family.

You know I love ya. That said, I think the "positive only" reading forces you to twist yourself in ways that end up convoluted and really difficult. The Tower means explosion. The Wheel of Fortune means Big Changes. All those male pentacles means men in charge of material circumstances. We in the U.S. don't have much difficulty seeing what this means to us given recent Wheel of Fortune events here, goddess help us. (We have, for instance, started three trade wars and suspended all financial aid to everything including internationally. Sounds pretty pentacle-y to me. And Tower-y.) And the most "positive" cards in the reading? The Empress. And perhaps the King of Cups. If we are to survive this latest Tower, we have to Master our panic and hope that somehow, something productive and "growthful" will come out of this hellscape that we, and by extension the entire world, are living through
@@marykayryan7891 Perhaps you might have misunderstood my language. I was not thinking about world events when I used the word “we”. The reading is about the private and personal sphere, and when I say “we” I am going on the basis that my viewers can take the reading personally if they want. If you find my practice interesting or helpful, it is there for you. But a spread that I put down and read from is my own thing. As an “oracular moment“, such as it is, it is mine alone. Resonate with it or not according to you feelings. However, there is no “correct“ interpretation of the cards that I might have missed.
I’d also point out that this spread is itself my own design. The first four cards are laid down to suggest questions. So one can be extremely free in ascribing meanings to the first four cards, because at this stage one is not reading, one is setting up the spread.
