My sons are under 5 years old, so luckily are exempt from masks here, but struggle with transitions a lot. I couldn’t imagine how hard they might take it if they were forced to wear them. My older son wore one a few times but he would rip it up before the end of the trip and that was kind of that. Now I’m working on his thing with trying to touch everyone 🤦♀️ He runs up to people to touch them for so,e reason, and I’m so scared of him touching the wrong person that won’t understand, it’s so hard to restrain 2 kids who run away from doing so.
This is a great video. These changes are so hard for autistic children, and children in general to understand, and honestly must be traumatic for them to see this and not fully grasp what is happening

As well, you are dealing not only with ASD, but also a growing child. Days of tests or days of learning, it is tough. My heart such as it is goes out to you all - an important video in dealing with autism in a growing child & you have two! Courage & love will get you through.
