Dropping into 2024 with another awesome song! I used to listen to a song called Two Moons by Toe, and a lot of the synth work you’re doing in this new release for Peridot Sky reminds me of it. I love it! Can’t wait for more of it
Making my guitar speak to me man… I need to practice. If I could play like this I’d never put the guitar down. Keep putting stuff out there, it’s motivating
Yea, If only I could play like that also! I will say one thing that helped me alot - it was getting my hands on some solid tabs for some of these modern and more complex songs and committed to getting through at least one or 2 sections - each one took me weeks to months to get to the point that I could even play the right notes... but pushing into the mid to advanced level complexity songs helped me develop some new and real skills. Now I can play some songs I never dreamed of... well, by play I mean I can get the notes right... and kind of keep up in real time... but seriously it took a while but it was worth it and it was frustrating for sure to go through. Hope that idea helps you out, trust me, I am one of the genuine cases of "if I can do it anyone can" but I am the real deal when i comes to having no talent on the guitar but now I can play parts or for a song or 2 all of the notes and can almost "keep up" with the track. Oh yea, timing was one of my weaknesses and even that got a bit better.
@@soulless8680 Sounds good. The first song I broke into was All New Materials by Periphery. I literally never played anything harder than your standard rock from the 80's (yea, there were some bangers back then but nothing even close to what exists today...) and I struggled to play that stuff! It took MONTHS but what I found was once i definitely had the notes memorized I could free up some mental resources to think about the techniques of playing good. But to be honest I still can't play that well but shoot, it is a lot better and more fun than it used to be. What do you think you might take on?
The best way to start this year: listen to your really good productions and take the motivation to practice guitar and improve my recording skills, thank you!
Happy new year! Great song as always. I would have loved to hear a lot more of the riffs starting in around 0:57 seconds into the video... I am looking forward to hearing a lot more music from you this year, you have a lot of talent.
@@joonyoung815 Sure thing. What are some of your favorite influences in music? I like the 2010's progressive/djent timeframe. ERRA, Periphery, Volumes, and so many other awesome bands... Counterparts!!! Counterparts is largely responsible for me getting into this music starting with the song "SOIL" what a great song, and the lyrics will mess u up if you think about them. Walking Across Jupiter, Substucture!!! (man, Substructure is so unique and awesome) The Helix Nebula... I think those are some of my absolute favorites. ERRA was blowing my mind for a while, so sad when you get "used" to hearing the same song cause they are nicely complex and awesome in what they do - favorite ERRA song has to be Orchid!!! If you never heard it go check it out right now, I would almost guarantee you would love it. Cheers!
this guy is criminally underrated
It's always a good day whenever James uploads some animecore.

@@joonyoung815 Appreciate it my man!
How dare you djent on a six string?! Outrageous!
I never understood needing all of the strings when all djent songs are one guitar player multi tracked

@@genjitsu7448 Thanks for the reply, it does help. I’m gonna try to slowly push myself to play bits and pieces of harder songs.
