- In this video, I open a Shadows of the Galaxy prerelease kit and practice for Draft and Sealed! Come see some of the new cards and watch me build a deck as if I were playing in a prerelease event. Big shoutout to Fantasy Flight Games for sending me this free kit!

Oo I've been looking forward to this one!
Edit: That's a solid deck with some great looking and playing cards. Cannot wait for this weekend!
Thanks and best of luck at your prereleases!
Thanks for this video, this was really helpful for me to understand what to expect and how to put together a deck, this is my first prerelease event so I was clueless.
Found this while watching various pre release stuff trying to learn. Good points, but definitely distracting with all the draft talk when trying to learn about pre release which to my understanding is all played as sealed. Just input from a new player.
Noted! I sometimes like practicing for both when I do openings, but I get that it's not as "focused" - thanks for the feedback!
This was super helpful with my prerelease event coming up this weekend. Thanks!
Glad it helped and good luck!
@@TowerNumberNine I went 3-1. Working through my cards I found I had a lot of Ambush and that really helped me build my deck. Thanks again!
Great video! I would have liked to have seen a few turn 1 example draws and mulligan decisions.
Good idea! Perhaps I'll add something like that to future openings...
Weirdly enough i do think pershing is a bomb, even in draft
Is Hyperspace just a cosmetic thing? Or does it come into play at any time? Or is it just something to make the cards a little more collectiable?
Hyperspace is just cosmetic! Fancy versions of cards in this game (foils, hyperspaces, showcases) don't have unique gameplay effects, they just look different!
Love it man. I love limited and am looking forward to pre-release. One thought for you - Cloud Car has a keyword and would have triggered Boba's abilities becoming a 3/2 Restore 2 upon Boba's deploy. Having more units in space is soooo strong in limited. With a good number of turn 1 plays already, it would not have been a bad idea to take it over Underworld Thug or BH Initiate (who do not trigger Boba's abilities).
In pack two pick for drafting - Covetous Rivals with grit is sorta crazy - pick off anothe unit that dors 3 damage , now your rocking 33% off your opponents base
I think you're missing that Rey can give Shields to single aspect cards in Heroism decks. She doesn't require Kylo and Villainy to give shields.
I don't know if there was enough there to play this time around (as I thought going Boba Yellow was the right call) but I feel Rey is strong in a Han Blue deck. He can play her turn 3 for 4/5 and she can heal herself on her first attack. And then she can heal & shield the non heroic units like the Constables and Followers of the Way. She becomes an immediate problem for opponents just as Han is deploying.
You likely had a decent Gar cunning deck as well. Between shielded units and upgrades I think you had the density it needed.
2/2 in space is not great but in the context of this set it’s not terrible. There are very few two drops that eat a 2/2 in space for free so it can go uncontested or trade for their 3/2 very easily.
I can strongly argue that the Cloud Car is a good pick in Sealed in this set. People tend to not play a ton of space in Sealed. Maybe that's different in this set, but even if you force an even trade with your opponent trying to get your Restore 2 off the field, that is still probably worth it. Restore 2 is GREAT on a three cost unit. Maybe you've never been Restored to a loss in your tournament scene? In Sealed it is far more likely for Restore to act as a Bomb in the right matchup. I could just be splitting hairs. Your Aggression pool is better than you might think. I don't think you've spent enough time thinking about Stolen Landspeeder. Overall your sealed build makes sense, but in an actual pre-release I'd probably spend more time comparing options/keywords. You have LOTS of Underworld. Also, respectfully, consider paying more attention to your camera field. There are many cases where you are speaking about cards while holding them just off camera. I understand you do this for fun. Also, we can't connect if you don't show us what you're talking about while you talk about it.
Pack one draft pick - dr Purshing pretty amazing for card draw.
I thought you were meant to use all six for one draft, not 3 and 3?
You use all six packs for *sealed*, but in draft you only have three packs worth of cards and three leaders.
@@TowerNumberNine thanks!
Hey, nice video! Next time when opening packs just position your hands better so we can see better what you pull. Not hating, just trying to help 🤗
I agree, as someone who doesn't play the game it would've been nice to read what the pulled cards do.
Thanks for the tip! I think I didn't always have the cards in the right place, sorry about that! ^^;
THIS IS NUTS
Pick 3 draft id probably hate draft Boba's armor😅
In general I don’t recommend hate drafting in early picks because it makes your deck worse in exchange for potentially hurting another player’s deck - but you might not even end up paired with that player at all, and even if you are it would only be for one game of the event!
That said Boba’s armor is a decently playable card if you end up in Cunning (2 for +2/+2 upgrades are OK), so maybe it wouldn’t be that bad?
