Thanks Shawn for reminding me that that tool existed. Great tool to keep around and handy

dude thanks for this super timely vid for me! only just started getting into pix and recently got an l-extreme. been having massive fun doing colour recombinations. struggled though with my current proj of the tarantula nebula - whenever i was recombining it was oversaturating the brightest part of the neb, and there was no joy for me tweaking the pixmath formulas... this is absolute gold though! gave it a try on the tarantula and bang, balanced the brightness across the image. amazing. thanks heaps

Thanks. Was it bad previous? :)

@@VisibledarkAstro Actually, IMO, your great content explanation and demonstrations were being detracted from by the unnecessary video inset. Having a good full screen intro and ending summary is more effective. But, bad before, certainly not. Thanks for your efforts

many thanks, extremely helpful! I have exactly the problem you describe with M31, as I only took longer exposures. Pls can I ask one question: you mention that a better way to fix this issue would be to have a mix of shorter and longer exposure times to start with. Pls can you explain how this would help, i.e. how would you take advantage of different exposure times, would you stack separately and have 2 different images to work with (blend?) in the final steps of processing, or is there some other way you would handle the different exposure times? Many thanks!

I could not make out what script you mentioned. Could you please post where to find it? Thank you.

I believe you are referring to the GAME script. You can find this script and more here: www.skypixels.at/pixinsight_scripts.html

HDRMT vs your recent sharpening video using MMT/USM?

@visibledark Weird question, but how did you increase the menu bar and text size? I've just started using Pixinsight on a large display and the text is so small it's almost unusable. Your screen, full screen looks perfect on my display

Hi Shawn. I’m very late to the game on this one but it just came up with some difficulty I’m having. I shot the Ghost of Cassiopeia and got pretty good data. But Gamma Cass (Navi) is overwhelming the image. Could this technique be used to lower the effect of it?
