Fire Station 71 Ribbon Cutting

On November 14, 2014, we were proud to have Malibu Mayor Skylar Peak, Councilmembers Lou LaMonte & John Sibert, Assemblymember Richard Bloom, L.A. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, L.A. County Fire Chief Daryl Osby, Division VII Assistant Fire Chief Anthony Whittle, and dozens of Malibu Firefighters and community members for the community open house and dedication of the new L.A. County Fire Station 71. The beautiful new Station in the Point Dume neighborhood is double the size of the old, outdated Station and has modern amenities that will make the Firefighters in Malibu more comfortable and help them protect our community. It features beautiful tile murals designed by Matt Doolin of Topanga Art Tile.
