    ithank you for video is resistor need to put only when sensor connected power supply direcly or should we use in PLC connection ?

    What if the transmitter has a separate 250Vac supply, and you are connecting to the mA output... should you still need a 250omh resistor? thanks

      Hello Jack
      Thanks for your comment.
      No, you don't need 250 ohm resistor if you are using a 250VAC supply. It is applicable only, if you are using +24VDC loop power supply.

    I have to use resistor on positive? And how I connect cables from my interface? One on positive and other on negative or i connect before and after resistor? I'm having problems with my hart communicator (pactware) it finds the interface but it doesn't find the instruments and when it finds the connection it's not stable

      Hello Joao
      Thanks for asking this question. try to connect 250 resistor in series with negative terminal of transmitter. It can solve your problem.

    Thanks again Boss.
    Question:
    1.1 Is the connection only for 2 Wire Loop Powered Devices ?
    1.2 . Is it correct that you can connect across the O/P Terminals of Xmitter to DCS ?
    1.3 Can you connect across I/P Terminals of Loop Powered Device and Source Power to it like you can with a Process Meter ?
    1.4 Can you connect it across I/P Terminals to I/P Card and Source 4-20mA signal ?
    1.5 Is Tag name etc only readable if connected across the O/P Terminals of Xmitter to DCS ?
    Thank you.

      1.Ans- Yes, connection is only for 2 wire loop powered device
      2. Ans- Yes, You can connect 250 Ohm Resistor across O/P Terminal of TX To DCS
      3. ans-You can also connect across I/P terminal of Loop powered device. You can find this type of connection in Rosemount 3051 PT manual
      4. Ans-I didn't get this question. Can you please elaborate if possible.
      5. Ans-No, it can be readable for both type of connection. It does not matter if you connect across output terminal or input terminal.
      Thank you for asking this questions.

    The first reason can you elaborate more

      Hello Abdullah
      24VDc Power supply act as low pass filter circuit. It suppress analog signal of transmitter if we don't connect 250 ohm resistor .In other words, analog signal also filtered out by power supply, if there is no resistor. So this is reason we connect 250 ohm resistor.
      Hopefully you get your answer.

    Why does a power supply act as a low capacitor?

    • @InstrumentCalibration
      @InstrumentCalibration  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its 24 Volt DC Power supply, which has low pass filter circuit in it. This is a reason it act as low capacitor.

    • @AbdullahAhmed-vj2vi

      Cause the 20 in mA so we divide on 1000 to get in A and then get v as ohm's law

    • @Ali_SRC279
      @Ali_SRC279 ปีที่แล้ว

      To convert mv to v or mA to A

    • @tariqueanwer9329
      @tariqueanwer9329 ปีที่แล้ว

      4 mA is 4 x 10^-3 so we can write it another form 4x 1/1000 or 4/1000 =0.004 Ampere
      Now come to ohm’s law v = IXR
      V = 0.004 x 250 = 1 V .
      Hope you you understood
