    You state that we calibrate DP at line/operating pressure but you do not do that and I can't figure how to do it. Can you explain that process? Is it necessary to calibrate DP at operating pressure?

    What is the difference between Zero trim and Lower sensor trim? I am using DPT as a level transmitter. Where LEV is 300mmH20 and URV is 800mmH20. When to use lower sensor trim?

      Lower sensor trim when your LRV is a little off

    could you please tell me the fluke calibrator part number, we have 475 and AMS on our site. our requirement is to calibrate FF differential transmitter to measure level.

    I have a DPT which is used to calculate steam flow and the range is 0 to 3000 mm H2O
    Dpt is used along with pt100 And 0 to 25 kg pressure transmiiter
    Tell me how to calibrate dpt in site

    Can you please explain how to configure the flow rate proportional to dp?
    Because there is no option to set both at single time. We have to change that in variable mapping.
    And square root option is not available, why?
    Nm3/hr unit is volumetric flow. But, in the transmitter it is pre-configured in mass flow, why?
    My dp range is 159mbar and flow rate is 1200Nm3/hr. But, I am not getting this flow rate while applying the dp.
    So, can you please add one video for my queries

      Thank you for your questions Madhu.
      - The square root option is not available in the 3051SMV because the transmitter includes a flow computer, therefore it is calculating the compensated flow value. The flow computer already applies the Sq. Rt. Term in its flow calculation.
      - Nm3/hr although it sounds like it would be a volumetric measurement, it actually requires a mass flow calculation. The Nm3 has a specific mass, so there is a specific relationship between mass and the term Nm3/hr. It is not a volumetric calculation.
      - The reason that your flow rate is not what you expected when applying 159 mbar of DP is that in a benchtop setup the transmitter is treating the 159mbar of DP applied as both a static pressure and differential pressure reading. What this means is that the transmitter is reading a very low amount of static pressure or line pressure which is causing the flow rate output to be very low. I would recommend that you apply 159 mbar of DP to the sensor and just observe the digital value of measured DP, that will confirm for you that the DP sensor is accurate. If you would like to compare the flow rate output for various conditions you may use the test calculation feature that is available with the Engineering Assistant software or on a handheld HART communicator. The Test Calc function will allow you to enter a specific DP, a specific absolute pressure for line pressure, and a temperature value, then the transmitter will calculate the correct flow rate for that scenario.

    Do we really need to close equalizer valve on the manifold while calibrating/pump for static pressure? won't we risk damaging the transducer/sensor?

  • @vikvon
    @vikvon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It wasn't clear, so do you open the equalize for zero and close it for span? Same for static pressure?

    • @RosemountMeasurement
      @RosemountMeasurement  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use a 375 Field Communicator for calibration but you cannot use a 375 for a flow configuration.

    Is the Static pressure also on high side. I dont want to damage the transducer by possibly applying too high of a pressure.

    What does mean by zero trim and why we need it?

    • @RosemountMeasurement
      @RosemountMeasurement  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      A zero trim is a single-point offset adjustment of the transmitter output. A zero trim should be performed after every installation once the transmitter is in its final mounting position in order to compensate for mounting position effects.

    how do use trex to zero remote seals

    • @ensign128
      @ensign128 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't zero out the offset from the remote seal. You re-range the transmitter to account for the zero suppressed zero. if you need to adjust the calibration you use the low trim and high trim, not the zero. You can setup the display separately with scaled variable to display positive zero based values.
