Fantastic episode! 1 *ahem* happy horse, 2 castles, 2 apples, 3 yocal lads ("that's actually decent" lol), great music selection and oodles of lovely views all edited together beautifully. Thanks Richard for the many autonomous sensory meridian responses I experienced throughout 😊💜

Wonderful to see you truly out and about again Richard. The weather was being very kind too, despite the wind. I visited Maiden Castle a bout 10 years ago and thought I had stepped into One Man and his Dog. The farmer was moving his flock up and over the Fort with the collie doing all the work of keeping the sheep together. It was awesome.

    Official list of historical terms.
RECENTLY = during the last 100 years
A WHILE AGO = from 1600 to Queen Victoria
AGES AGO = anything before that
Hope this helps Richard, all the professors and studious types use these terms.

Great video :) I lived in Plympton for a year with Angie when she was studying her masters degree at Marjons (the university of st mark and St Johns in north Plymouth.)
Plympton is much older than Plymouth and is an ancient stannary town - the two churches ( St Maurice by the castle) and St Mary’s further west (where we used to go) are quite grand affairs showing the importance of the place.
Plympton was a lovely place to live and so much better than Plymouth (I don’t want to preempt any future videos but I suspect with the exception of the Hoe and the Barbican, I can only describe the rest of Plymouth as a grim rebuild in a cheap post war way following the Luftwaffe’s remodelling and Abercrombie’s not fully realised plan for the city centre!)

Its great to see the bald explorer back out in the landscape showing me places i never been to or likley to get to and thanks to Tim for being such a great co-host it adds that bit extra seeing you bounce of each other - wonder if any of the lads bothered to look you up on you tube later that day expect they will have been waiting for this to appear to have a laugh at no doubt. Its amazing how 'plym..' seems to feed into our language other than just the name of the town/city is there a big waterway at plymouth that drains into sea is that how it got its name maybe you'll tell me in the next instalment. Great video to add to your catelogue.

Richard. Not watching the news is the opposite to ignorance. Watching the news is the best way to become ignorant about things since they lie and twist things to suit their agenda. I couldn't care less what's happening in Ukraine, as its all apart of their agenda and game. I support nether "side"

Chalk is a very interesting material and upon excavating some of these ancient places they discovered some pot shaped holes big enough to get into and of course dig out. Then of course they just had to experiment and fill them full of wheat. Put a cover over and come back many months later. ROTTON!! But as they dug down into the grains all was fresh. The other advantage if they were overrun the enemy did not know where the food was stored. David and Lily.
