ALTERNATIVE ENDING: Our hero cries out, "I need more power!" As he holds his formerly useless apparatus firmly with both hands, Derek squeezes mightily and suddenly feels a strong intense surge flow through his hands. With great focus, our hero directs a powerful but timely, full frontal blast directly into the face of his nemesis and dispatches the fishy smelling beast before his weapon is spent and is once again rendered useless. Relieved and breathing heavily, Derek then turns to our heroine, Betty, and says, "I know what it is I must do now." "To fully complete my task here I shall require two items. "First, I must have access to what your people call tissue to remove any errant residual matter of my power blast." "And, secondly I will need an oral respiratory decompression device." "It is what your people call, A CIG-AR-ETTE." With several deep inhalations and exhalations, Derek extinguishes the device. And with one long and passionate kiss, and several hearty handshakes, our hero bids farewell to Betty, the object of his earthly affection, and his newfound friends. Then boarding the interstellar craft that will return him to his home world, Derek waves one final time and departs earth. Derek's efforts to defeat his people's plan to transform earth into a global Red Lobster holding tank for the Gorgons were successful much to their dismay. His people's goal for interstellar Lobsterfests and Crawdad Boils will have to wait.
