Thanks for the daily updates for Shetland Wool Week. This is a great way for those of us too far away to attend to at least listen to and watch participants. The interviews certainly add to the excitement!

Great videos, thank you. Takes me back to my visit in 2018. My husband came with me and while I was at classes he chatted with locals and also attended some of the events with me. Everyone was so very friendly! We came home with so many stories, the party after the Flock book show was great fun. I’d love to do it again one year.

What a brilliant idea to let those of us not able to be there, to feel as if we were! So fun to listen to the interviews with everyone, and catch glimpses of the island; city and countryside. A spectacular place! Thank you!

A lovely surprise came to my email inbox yesterday. A daily video tour of Shetland Wool Week. I cannot tell you what a thrill it has been to watch these daily videos. It's almost like being there. Almost. lol. We are here in Canada and saw our friends appear on the 1st day of video. 1 is from Orangeville, Ontario and the other from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. So exciting for us. You are just doing such an awesome job promoting Shetland Wool Week. I hope it is a very successful time for everyone.

So interesting, I'm loving the daily updates and wishing I could attend. I think I might just order the yarn I need to finally knit up the 'Next Year in Lerwick Sweater' and how maybe next year I'll be there 🙂

Another wonderful video, thank you!! One day I hope to get there in person. I purchased the digital version of the Annual and printed out Da Palm Beach Mitts, Nesbyen Socks and oh…the most beautiful Merran’s Cardigan. I had most of the colors that I needed for the socks, and ordered the purple and one of the green’s from an online US seller, to complete what I needed. I pulled two Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift from my stash in the color Nighthawk for the Mitts and I ordered 9 skeins (I want to add length to the sweater) of pale peach Shetland Ultra Laceweight from a UK seller because I couldn’t find enough of a color I liked in the US. Actually, with the exchange rate now it was actually less expensive to buy from the UK than to buy the skeins in the US, even after paying for tracked shipping. So now I have three lovely Wool Week projects that will get me into mid winter with my evening knitting. Next best thing to being there and these videos almost make me feel that I AM there.

I love these daily updates from SWW. Since I can't be there in person this is the next best thing. I do hope to make it one of these years, hopefully before Oliver Henry retires since I would love to attend one of his sorting presentations.

No one seems to have commented here, but I found the sound wasn't good for today's video, not sure if anyone else noticed it. Couldn't hear anything Claire said at the J & S Wool Store. But I have to recommend the wool wash you mentioned. I have a little sample bottle thanks to Rachel from Barkland Croft, and I love it!
