I've been looking at them for sometime. I'm in FL and was hoping to see the brand at the Orlando Premier hair show but they weren't there. Its tough for me to spend that kind of $ sight unseen you know. As for as thinners go 4420's are legendary. what do you know about the Schorem Set? I think the guys at Reuzel designed them.
I was wondering what you recommend on buying. The Sword D-17 6.7 or 6.2 for barbers? I’m also thinking of Sword D-19, and Sword D-20. Are the 17, and 19 almost the same?
Thank you. I would like to purchase a pair of shears and blending shears for a family member thats going to barber college. I am overwhelmed by the choices, do you have any suggestions and could I purchase them through your shop? I would appreciate your advice, thank you.
I never wish I got something else, I love all Mizutani Shears! My Acro TYPE z-2 are 6.5. They are the perfect size for everything to do with barbering. The 7.0 in my opinion are a bit big and are only good for shear over comb. But the 6.5 do it all. Great all around shear, also superior at adding texture through reverse point cutting due to the Nano Powder Metal. Don’t be scared order a pair
@@thomasbacabarber it’s usually women but both men and women it’s for my girlfriend I would love to gift her perfect shears. She has been cutting since 2021 so beginner but not beginner
@@thomasbacabarber Barber, but I don't do a lot of old school cutting with say scissor over comb. I mostly cut using a lot of sectioning, more modern style/hairdresser style.
@@thomasbacabarber what models are precision? I’m in Europe and from my understanding u are in the US so might be tough. The shears I have aren’t that great for precision cutting, they are high quality but because of ergonomics with my hands they won’t cut hair if I cut “reverse grip”, like for graduation (cutting downwards). Instead I have to bring my elbow up a bunch.
I’ve been eyeing the DAMA-05 and the Acros for my go to shears- I’d really love the DAMAs though they are more expensive than the Acros, which would you recommend out of the 2 for your everyday shears? These would be my first pair of super high quality shears
The Acros will work fine for all around even shear over comb. If you wanna save a lil money do the Acro Nano powder metal. 🤙🏻 I have the Dama 05 they are great also! Dama is a great way to get the clients excited about the shears you use. Mizutani are the best in the world 🌎!
holding them like that is pretty dumb. 1) you can cut yourself badly. 2) don’t flip mizutani. you can damage the mechanism easily. I know it looks cool… but it’s not worth it:)
I’ve been using Mizutani for 6 years and always flip them. I never cut myself. I have over 10k hours flipping shears. But ya you yourself probably shouldn’t flip them that would be pretty dumb.
I like this guy. Sold me & honest dude. Greetings from Arizona my brother, you’re always welcome at HQ Barbershop in Scottsdale.
I Appreciate you bro! I’m in New Mexico right around the corner. If u need some scissors hmu on IG thomasbacabarber
