well demolition lovers takes place before i never told you what i do for a living, right? so the lovers are both still alive, but i think the girl is dying or something by the end of the song. and the dude is all like "we were supposed to have forever, so we will" and he's metaphorically losing her and he's desperately trying to save her, and there's some people who hate on them because they're punky or something i think, and he's like, "nah son" and [fyi im running on 4 hours of sleep send help] idk. anyhow, by the time i never told you what i do for a living rolls around, the girl is gone for real this time, so the dude is lamenting over stuff because he tried and tried to kill as many bad people as possible so he could be with her again and he realizes that he became what he killed along the way, and the last person he needs to kill is himself, so they can't be together, therefore he tried his best but in the end his promise to her turned out to be a lie. honestly idk i'm very sleep deprived right now and it's like, 2 a.m. lol this thing is all over the place and probably doesn't make sense oops

this album is really my favourite in terms of imagery. it's just, the mood it sets is so unique, it's so gothic romance, so hopeless, so raw. they were able to take these dark and ugly feelings and turn it into something as equally as dark and beautiful. i don't think i'll ever tire of bullets.

This song's pretty memorable to me. I remember hearing this in an old Discord like app. The room host was playing it. I got hooked to it instantly because of the great composition. I didnt know the title so I asked in the chat, but no one answered because the room host fell asleep. I had to wait till tomorrow to know. I could only try to remember parts of the lyrics so he had a hard time recognizing what song was I describing. Until I remembered the chorus, and voila, he started playing it again. I used to sing the beginning part of Demolition to my youngest sister when she was a newborn. She would always fall asleep. Fast forward: she is 13 years old and literally asked me randomly "Do you like My Chemical Romance?" I was shocked. I never told her about MCR before. She likes them (along with Green Day) and said her favorite song is Teenagers (that was one of my least favs) I was still shocked. This baby...what happened to the time? Life.

It's called proper technique. One of them I'm pretty sure is screaming while he's breathing in. Then there's the fact he can do vocal fry while he's using a soft voice meaning he has the technique to use it almost whenever not just where your voicings split which is usually where people do it, so there are things that show he clearly has a vocal coach.
I dedicated this song to my ex bf. Due to an easy problem to solve that we decided to make very difficult, we broke up, but we're still friends and talk often.

Everytime I have my breakdowns or panic attacks in always listen to this it always calmed me down, I don't mind Gerards screaming I'll just feel better, after crying and hearing this I'll just feel more calmer and I thank them for that..

This song means so much to me. Not for any big reason, I just feel heavy nostalgia when I hear it. I used to know every mcr lyrcs from the heart. No one listened to it, or even knew it. It sounds so selfish to say, but mcr was only my escape, I could scream out all of my weird "teenager-wannabe" pain without anyone knowing what I was singing. And now tiktok tries to popularize it, and make it mainstream. I know I am self-centered, and this sounds edgy, even cringe, but I hate how more people started to like it making it one of those meaningless bands everybody istens to for 2 months and then throw it away like it was nothing. Don't get me wrong I love tiktok, but it just consumes every song and then makes it famous for 5 seconds. After that, no one really cares about it. Alternative styles are becoming less and less alternative, as more and more people see it on the app. When I liked mcr back in late 2017-mid 2021-ish, they called me "lame", "emo", etc. but now everyone likes it bc it's gaining popularity on tiktok. It is kinda heartbreaking lol :(
